We had a great weekend getaway. The chalet was perfect for the six of us . Fully equiped kitchen. Having two bathrooms was a big plus. We were so close to Bromley ski area it was perfect. The chalet was clean and was like home with plenty of seating in the living room and dining area. We sat around the fire each night and also enjoyed all the games that were at the house.We will definetly be back for another ski vacation hopefully longer than a weekend. Jill in Connecticut

My husband, two children and two, small dogs rented this property for a five=day period this past Christmas week. The home was clean and tidy for our arrival. The sleeping quarters and bathrooms were plenty for our family of four. Kitchen area was well stocked for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day cooking. Although there was no snow, although a brief snow shower on Christmas day did arrive, for skiing, there was still plenty to do in the surrounding area. Ice skating at Riley Rink, shopping at the outlets, visiting the area restaurants and antique shops left room for no boredom.

We hope to visit again. It was a wonderful, relaxing family time for all of us. We all hated to leave and will come back again.

This cute, little chalet is perfectly located with great restaurants only a few minutes drive away. We found Zoey's Double Hex to be a great choice. Try their apple walnut cheesecake. Other restaurants that I recommend are The Perfect Wife, the Manchester Bar and Grill (great beers) and Mulligan's. The Manchester outlet stores are about 10 minutes away. Ski slopes and other outdoor activities are close by as well. Manchester also has a grocery store, laundromat and other services.

Because we vacation with our dogs, it is sometimes difficult to find nice, clean, pet-friendly places to stay. We found this home to be all of these. The chalet was clean upon our arrival and was plenty large for three adults and three medium-sized dogs. My 84 year-old mother stayed in the bedroom downstairs, while my wife and I slept in the bedroom upstairs. We really appreciated having a half-bath upstairs. The chalet has a very nice fireplace with a supply of wood.

The kitchen is somewhat small as others have noted with little counter space or storage. We followed the advise in another review and brought along a large Rubbermaid container to store can goods, cereal boxes, and snacks. There was room next to the stove to keep the container and this worked out very well.

The chalet is located just off the highway which is both an advantage as well as a disadvantage. If you have visited this area before, you know that if you get off the main roads, GPS may take you the long way around to places. The chalet is very conveniently located and easy to get to. But it is close to a highway and can be a little noisy during the day. If you are active during the day this is not a problem. It is quieter at night and we had no problem with noise then.

Another review discussed cell phone reception and I recommend that you read it. But you should understand that interruption of service will occur throughout the mountains.

We truly enjoyed our stay in the chalet and will stay here again on our next trip.

!We had great time,the house is very cute and cozy little place.We had great time cooking and relaxing in that beautiful area of Vermont,we enjoyed so much of the snowmobiling and skiing in bromley,the village was also very colourful,peaceful and fun to walk around! We went to the close by lake with the snowmobiles and the guide said its a great lake for fishing and our next trip will be for fishing in the area! Thanks a lot,we had great time and didn't want to leave,we actually want to stay even one extra night if it was possible but my girlfriend couldn't take an extra day off work,so we're deffinetely coming back!

Cozy, comfortable and well equipped. In addition to the ski resorts that are just around the corner there is also excellent groomed cross-country and snowshoeing trails nearby (with equipment rental opportunities). There is also many hiking trails for the warmer months all over the Green Mountain National Forest.
We found the A-frame chalet well kept and fully equipped. The centrally located working fireplace is great for hanging out (ample firewood is provided). There is a grill on the back-porch - bring your own charcoal.

This was a great rental for us. Four of us stayed for the week and were completely comfortable! Everything we needed as far as cooking utensils, pots, pans, dinnerware, glassware were provided and allowed us to cook all of our meals at home. Plenty of toilet paper and paper towels were also stocked for our use, as well as trash bags, cleaning supplies and fire starter logs.

The property is accurately described in the listing, as well. Since we came to ski/snowboard at Stratton, we enjoyed the quick drive to the mountain, and was impressed by the snow removal prior to our arrival and soon after we got a good bit of snow the first night of our stay (a plow came and cleared the whole area in front of the house as well as the road!) Shaw's supermarket was a short drive to Manchester center, and we also enjoyed the outlet stores in the area there. Although the sidewalks were icy downtown, we were able to park and brave the cold and walk to all the outlets. We ate one meal (lunch) out the whole week, and that was at Christos' Pizza and Pasta in Manchester Center...and it was excellent. If you like authentic Greek-Italian, this is a place you should try.

The ONLY (and very insignificant to us) thing we found that we didn't "like" about the rental was the lack of place to store the food we brought with us (that didn't need to be refrigerated). We got by just fine by using a box on the floor for storage though, no problem! I'd rather have kitchen amenities at hand than a place to put food, so like I said, not a big deal at all, but an FYI for future renters who might like to bring a rubber-maid or something similar for their non perishables.

Nothing beat coming home from the slopes at the end of the day to relax on the couch with our friends while the dogs lay in front of the fire. Cozy to say the least! I'm looking forward to next year already.

And a quick FYI as far as cellular service goes....between our group we had T-mobile (worked ok - roaming on AT&T), Sprint (worked ok), and Verizon (spotty phone service, bad data service). Just thought I would add that info because I know it's something I like to know before I go, and thought others might benefit!
