Charming--Wonderful Place--We Enjoyed Our Stay!

My husband and I wanted to visit our new Granddaughter so we rented this wonderful place for a month. It is clean, and well-maintained and the owners are really nice. We liked walking around the neighborhood which is mainly residential with a some restaurants and shops nearby. One of our favorite stops was "The Coffee Cup Cafe"--it's just around the corner. We will definitely be back again and we highly recommend the property and the owners!

Love the Location and the Details

My girlfriend and I rented at the property in the past. We loved the location and the architecture. The details like the glass door knobs and light fixtures are great! The beach is a bike ride away--about 5 blocks--and we liked to use the bike path at the ocean which takes you to downtown Long Beach or to 2nd Street. Both areas have great stores and restaurants. There are also some great coffee houses, bakeries, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. We were there during the Long Beach Grand Prix and that was fantastic to see--we took the city bus and it dropped us off right at the race track! The landlords are really nice people who live nearby. They care a lot about the property and the residents. I would highly recommend this property and the owners.

I Lived at the Property for Five Years!

I lived at the property for 5 years and absolutely loved the place. I have never experienced such wonderful landlords in any other living situation nor have I ever lived in such a beautifully restored Historic building. It was a sad day when I left the complex but I will never forget the kindness of the landlords. I would highly recommend the property as a place to live and would move back there in a second if the need arose.

Pride of Ownership!

I have rented from Leslie in the past and currently use her expertise for remodeling my own historic home. Leslie is a pride-of-ownership landlord, and all of her properties are wonderfully restored. She takes pride in the restorations that she does, and researches the architecture to make sure she is keeping the property true to period. Leslie is a wonderful landlord and very easy to deal with. I have been viewing the restoration of this charming little apartment as it has progressed and the completed project is just wonderful. The location is in the heart of Belmont Heights so it is convenient to the Beaches and shopping in Belmont Shore. I would rent from Leslie again and be comfortable in the knowledge that she is a wonderful landlord and maintains her properties to the highest standards.

This is a wonderful place! The owners have taken such time and effort to make this historic property really a lovely, homey spot. The residents have been long-term because both the property and the owners are great. This is a true pride-of-ownership property not just another rental. This is one of the best neighborhoods in Long Beach. If you happen to be a Dexter fan like I am, many Dexter scenes are filmed in this area. Actually all kinds of filming goes on in the neighborhood--I saw Miami Vice film crews around too. You are also walking distance to many of the fabulous things that Long Beach offers--Belmont Shore, Belmont Pier, the beach, great restaurants and shops. If you like the idea of stepping back to the 1920s in a beautifully restored and decorated cozy bungalow house in a fabulous Long Beach neighborhood, this will make a memorable place to call home.

Light and Airy with an Historic Quality

I searched a long time to find an apartment with some historic quality to it. Finding this apartment was like winning the lottery. It was so airy and had so many historic details to it. Usually, you might find such an apartment, but it looks like it has been covered with years of paint and every year seems to show in the beaten down quality of the finishes. Not so here. It is like they reached back into the past and brought the original apartment back to the present. The owners are a wonderful couple who live nearby and really care about the property and the heritage. A rare find!

I lived in Belmont Heights growing up. After losing a close friend I decided to take some time and stay in LB visiting friends and family. I could not believe an apartment like this was even possible to rent! I had wonderful breezes flowing in the house. Every detail reminded me of my Grandmas house, what a blessing to have that feeling. I always felt safe and I loved walking the neighborhood. Detail, location and lots of charm in Belmont heights. Does it get better? Yes! I invited friends and family over for dinner a few times while I was there. I was so proud of my little slice of heaven and they appreciated seeing the perfect blast from the past. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, retro place to stay awhile I would look no further. I WILL BE BACK!

This gorgeous residence is like stepping into a museum from the 1920s that you get to live in. It is charming, meticulously restored, in a residential neighborhood. The neighborhood is blocks from the beach and walking distance to many shops, restaurants and coffee houses. The perfect place for someone who needs a rental that is fully furnished. Bring your clothes, a beach cruiser and move in!

Charming and Cozy and Beautifully Maintained

This rental is beautiful. The decor is matched perfectly to the era in which it was built. It is so charming and cozy and was a pleasure to come home to. The owners put a lot of time, thought and effort into restoring this bungalow. a variety of things like squash and tomatoes. You can tell how much pride the the owners have in their rentals and the surrounding garden areas.

I am a current renter in the Browns Court Complex, and I absolutely love it here. The property is beautiful and extremely well-maintained, as are the individual buildings. Leslie is an attentive and friendly landlord who takes great pride in her properties - she is proactive with regular upkeep and updates, and is always easy to reach when needed. Since I have been living at Browns Court, she has added wonderful fruit trees and community garden plots for the tenants -- a great perk that also encourages a nice sense of community among neighbors. She really goes all out to give her renters the best experience -- a rare find indeed!
