2 of my girlfriends and I stayed at Horseshoe Bend last weekend, and didn't want to come home! The cabin was everything we needed and more. Donnie was very helpful and available if we needed him. The internet was not working while we were there, but it was no issue as we were out enjoying the beautiful sites, or simply relaxing at the cabin. The driveway was pretty steep and narrow, but we managed it fine in a minivan, and over the weekend, it became somewhat fun to drive. :) The new deck and hot tub were amazing, and our dogs enjoyed our stay just as much as we did. The cabin was clean, and there is a local grocery store nearby to get groceries. We highly recommend day-tripping to nearby Sylva for eating out (City Lights cafe is amazing), as well as Bryson City for shopping. Both of these towns have local microbreweries (Heinzelmannchen in Sylva, and Nantahala Brewing in Bryson City) if you enjoy a good craft beer as we do. :) The local people are friendly and helpful and you will feel at home immediately. This cabin is just gorgeous and is perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing, secluded, centrally-located home base for adventures in western NC.

This is a secluded well kept cabin in the mountains. If you want peace and quiet this is the place. It's close to any area attraction you would want to vist. There is a food Lion down the road for groceries if you like to cook, which we did for all meals except when we visited Bryson City we went to a nice place for lunch that was very reasonable.The owner very friendly and able to help you with any questions you have. I would stay here again if we come back to sight see again in the future.

We spent a lovely 4 days at this secluded place in the mountains. Its very peaceful and a great place to relax. The place was equipped with what ever you need for your stay. The hot tub is very relaxing. We spent time at the Casino that is very close by. We took our grandson who is 4 to SantaLand and he had fun there. We spent a day in Bryson City for the Railfest and took a train ride. The owner was very friendly to talk to and keeps the place well kept. This is a place I would come back to.

We absolutely had a wonderful time and will probably go again sometime in the future and stay at this cabin. It had everything we needed, it was cozy, comfortable and nice. The owner was awesome to us before the trip answering our questions and just was very involved to ensure our stay was great. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to get away from the everyday life and go to a place that you can find yourself again. Thanks to the owner for his caring spirit and we feel like we have found a new friend.

A group of friends rented this property for a golf trip to play Sequoyah National in Cherokee, NC. We had a wonderful time and the property was as advertised. The owner gave great instructions and the house was very comfortable.

My family had a wonderful time at Horse Shoe Bend!! We had a great stay and enjoyed ourselves very much. The hot tub was a added bonus. There are so many things to do in this area. I will definitely recommend this home to others, and we are hoping to go again soon!

Horse Shoe Bend was very clean and well maintained. The pictures were a very accurate representation of the house. Our only problem was that we were experiencing 100 degree weather. Although there was a window air conditioner on the main floor, it was not stong enough to cool the bottom
bedrooms sufficiently. I would suggest that another unit be purchased for the downstairs bedrooms. The owner could not have been any nicer. He answered all questions, sent links to restaurants and told us to call anytime we wanted to. There was tubing nearby in Bryson City (a 15 minute drive). Cherokee was about a 10 minute drive. Pigeon Forge was about 90 minutes away. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
