My friend and I initially planned a 10 day trip to Costa Rica's Playa Del Coco and ended up extending for another week, because we just could not get enough of the beautiful nature, people and culture. We stayed at a lovely condo Lechuga that is located less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and only about 7 minutes to the main town. It is a bachelor apt that feels like a one-bedroom, perfect for two people. The condo has a pleasant decor, which is important, especially for us girls, lol. It is very clean, everything is brand new and the kitchen has a perfect set-up for cooking. There is a corner balcony with a really nice view, we shared every meal there. Although my friend and I are total beach bums, we still enjoyed the beautiful pool downstairs that has a built-in jacuzzi and even a BBQ area. We made friends with some of the people staying at Lechuga, they were traveling from Canada and we ended up exploring Guanacaste together. Our favorite beaches that we discovered are Playa Penca, a breath-taking white sand beach, Playa Ocotal, a black sand beach and Tamarindo which is known for surfing. We went somewhere new every day and there was still plenty left to see. The locals are very polite and accommodating. The food markets in del Coco are the highlight for me, everything is so fresh, organic and delicious. We did not go out that much but there are plenty of bars restaurants and really nice hotels in town. All in all it was an amazing experience and I would go back in a heart beat!
