Spacious apartment in a beautiful neighborhood

I recently had the opportunity to stay in the turret house while on vacation with a group of friends. We were able to take advantage of the staircases to join the apartments, which was very convenient for eating breakfast together, etc. The apartments seem to be pretty sound-proof too, since though we knew all the apartments were occupied, we could never tell if anyone was home or not. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised to find the living room and master bedroom were larger than they appeared in the pictures. The second bedroom was a little small, but even with four adults, we did not feel crowded.

The apartment is situated on a quiet street without much foot or auto traffic and feels very safe and residential, despite being only a 15 minute walk from the restaurants, nightclubs, and shopping that Capitol Hill offers. It was nice to be so close to night life without the noise one might find on the Pike/Pine corridor. There were also several grocery stores within a short walk, so it was easy to bring home supplies to make a meal or snack at the apartment. The apartment was well appointed with all the kitchen items you could need to cook meals at "home," and the two balconies were perfect spots to drink our morning coffee.

Apt # 4 was very cozy and house in good location, close to action without being in the hustle and bustle. Decor was beautiful. Kitchen was adequately equipped. Claw foot tub nice, but shower claustrophobic. Thanks for a great place to stay! Four and 1/2 stars!

We had a great week at the Turret House! Great base of operations for exploring Seattle, Bainbridge, the San Juan Islands and Mt. Rainier. Great restaurants and groceries nearby. The apartment had everything we needed for two couples to have a great Northwest vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Turret House. Very comfortable and good location. Easy to walk to the bus to get downtown. It was also good having an off the street parking spot.. I would definately recommend this to others on their visit to Seattle.

Seattle Turret House was great

Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Turret House Apt 4. It was very easy to gain access and walking distance to eclectic shops and venues. We even walked to Pike Place Market downtown from this location. The house itself was well maintained and came with enough furnishings that we needed. We didn't use the place to cook anything but the appliances and dining room furniture were nice enough to want to cook and have a dinner there. The owner was also very accommodating and would recommend him to anyone looking for a convenient and nice stay in Seattle.

We enjoyed 4 wonderful nights at this vacation rental! This apartment has the amenities we enjoy and is very tastefully decorated. The beds were comfy, has an outside porch with seating, plus the living area, kitchen and bath have all the essentials and more, including a great clawfoot bathtub! Staying here is a delightful alternative to a hotel. Feels like a Seattle home. This is a great location in Capitol Hill - close to downtown which is a real plus! We took walks to restaurants, shops, groceries, church and enjoyed the diverse neighborhood. We plan to return and recommend The Turret House with a 5* rating!!!!!!

Perfect place for enjoying and exploring Seattle

The Turret House on 16th & Spring is an ideal place to stay for exploring Seattle. Firstly, its location is fantastic--on a quiet street but within walking blocks of local cafes, grocery shops, and restaurants. Whether it's Stumptown or Cafe Presse. A fancy dinner at Lark. An easy dinner at Boom. Wine at Poco. Getting groceries at the co-op: Everything that makes Seattle Seattle is nearby, including some outstanding Ethiopian restaurants on Union.

After living in Seattle for 10 years we moved to Australia, so we now go back for visits once a year. We stayed here with my parents who were also in town visiting. The place offered a comfortable place that felt quite like home. The apartment has large bedrooms, a large living room and a dining table that expands to seat 6. The kitchen is well appointed, so if dining in is your preference you can cook up a storm. It's ideal for two couples, families and quite large for just 2 people.

The photos are true but the place is even larger than it looks. The keyless entry is super handy, as is having laundry on site.

Can't imagine a better location or place to stay if you want your time in Seattle to feel like you live in Seattle. Comfortable. Convenient. Lovely. Local.

We loved the property. It was exactly what we needed. Great location; walking distance to bus stop, close to many restaurants and stores, great neighborhood, easy to get anywhere. It was so nice to hang in the living room with our coffee in the mornings and stay up late doing a puzzle at the dining room table and drinking wine at night.

Making reservations was easy...William returned my calls and answered all my questions within 24 hours of asking. I highly recommend this property.

FYI - The mattresses are quite firm so be ready for that. I do toss and turn a lot so instead of waking up my friend sharing the bed with me I went to the sofa in the living room and slept well there one night. So that's an option.

Great weekend retreat

My partner and I flew up to Seattle to escape for the weekend. This house was great. It was close to great restaurants and bars in Capitol Hill; offered all needed amentities; was well cleaned and maintained; and the owner was very helpful. Of note, a Trader Joe's and Safeway are within walking distance, and we loved Anchovies and Olives as well as Barrio (restaurants).
