'Hawks Cry' is a luxury home on one of the newest property developments in St. Lucia. 'Allamanda at Anse Galet' was completed in 2011. Allamanda is the breathtakingly beautiful yellow flower blanketing the slopes in the gardens, which are landscaped and planted with palms and tropical flowers, attracting Humming Birds. The present owners of 'Hawks Cry' purchased the land with two other partners, one of whom has worked for many years in the Caribbean. He is a fully qualified civil engineer, from the U.K. He project managed the whole development, and the properties are all built to U.S. hurricane standards.
The spacious interior has been professionally designed, after consultation with the owners, one of whom is an artist and designer. Her works are placed tastefully around the house. She collected the natural materials from local coves and beaches, and they add a pleasing touch. The table lamps throughout and floor length drapes were chosen with care, and the beaded tie backs were designed and made by the owner, adding that special touch.
Epitomizing paradise, the house is located at the northern-most tip of the island, where the trade winds are refreshing and the only sounds for miles, are the waves of the sparkling blue Atlantic Ocean, crashing across rocks into Anse Galet Cove. At 'Hawks Cry', the Humpback Whales may be spotted spouting and broaching in the bay in season, Orcas migrate between St. Lucia and Martinique, the songs of the birds in the gardens, and at night the sound of the Tree Frog's chorus are all things to behold and hear. Turtles come ashore to lay their eggs in season in the sand on nearby beaches. This is a must for nature lovers. Indeed, the house was named after the American Kestrel which hunts above the nearby hillsides. Don't think of this as a holiday in Paradise, but heaven on earth!
Who can pass up those Caribbean nights, staring at stars, as time comes to a standstill. Imagine indulging in a glass of wine, with your toes in the patio plunge pool with the uninterrupted, pristine view of the lights on Martinique across the ocean.
