These Cockle Cove neighborhood cottages have been newly-renovated inside and out; provide large decks and shaded patios with amazing views over tidal Taylor's Pond; share our private dock for boating and kayaking; and are an easy 4/10th mile walk or bike ride to a Nantucket Sound beach. These newly-shingled cottages have gleaming hardwood floors, a light “beachy” décor, updated baths with tub/shower combination, large enclosed outdoor showers, bright open living/dining floor plans, well-equipped kitchens, total of four bedrooms (2 with a queen and 2 BRs with two twin beds) and partial basements (one with laundry) for storing bikes, kayaks and other large gear. Off-street parking for 4-5 cars, and easily accessible for seniors or those who have difficulty with stairs.

Taylor's Pond is an ancient “kettle pond” that has been connected to Nantucket Sound by the sea. It has tidal salt water and supports amazing seasonal bird populations, including herons, egrets, ospreys, king fishers, geese, etc. Striped bass and blues visit on the spring and fall high tides to chase schools of bait fish. You can kayak, canoe or boat in the pond from our private dock; or connect through the Mill Creek channel into a large estuary/marsh and out into Nantucket Sound.

Cockle Cove Beach (a short 4/10 mile walk or ride down the hill) is one of Chatham's best town beaches with no stairs & easy accessability, expansive room for jogging/beachcombing; warm, calm & safe swimming; and clamming & surf casting.

This great South Chatham location provides safe, quiet 'away from it all' ambience, but is within 10 minutes' drive of the best shopping, dining and local club venues in Chatham & Harwich and exit 11 on the mid-Cape hwy. On the Cape's 'elbow,' it is 30-40 minutes from the bridges as well as Hyannis, the national seashore and P Town.

Perfect spot for a group!

The cottages were fantastic! I went with a group of 8 people, 4 in each cottage and it was perfect! Everyone kept raving about the place(s) and asking me how I found them! The cabins were super cute, and both decks had a great view of the gorgeous lake. We walked down to Cockle Cove beach which was quiet and small but perfect for us, especially because all of the other Chatham beaches were closed for shark sightings. I would definitely recommend this vacation spot to anyone looking for a Cape get away. We did not want to leave. The property was clean and neat when we arrived, and we could tell the owners took very good care of it. Thanks Tom and Sharon!
