Spend your next family vacation at this beautiful 2 story, 2,061 sq. ft. 2 upstairs' bedrooms with a den which can serve as a 3rd sleeping area (this chase sofa is very comfortable unlike a pull-out sofa) on the ground floor with private entrance, 2-1/2 baths with large living room and dining rooms. There is a large second floor patio with outdoor living room-styled furniture, views of the ocean and mountains as well as a ground floor patio with table, chairs, umbrella and gas barbeque grill-also with views of the mountains and ocean. The villa is located in a safe, gated community of over 145 acres with a 2 mile stretch of a mostly secluded beach. The villa is fully furnished with a complete kitchen including coffee maker (coffee, sugar and creamer provided), blender, toaster, bake ware, etc., along with a washing machine & dryer (detergent provided), clothes iron, alarm clock and an outside barbeque grill.

Wi-Fi is provided inside the villa.

The master bedroom is equipped with a queen-sized bed, plenty of closet room along with a private bath. The second bedroom contains 2 bunk beds (3 twin and 1 full-size mattress to sleep 4 persons. There is also a portable crib. There are zones of central air conditioning on each floor.

There is so much to do and see in the western town of Rincon from terrific beaches, surfing, snorkeling, the collection of sea-glass; to restaurants (a short walk down the beach), sight-seeing, whale watching in the 'winter' months, near-by casinos, golf, catamaran rides and boating, para-sailing, the visiting of small museums, historical and religious sights, a rain forest, a dry forest, a day trip to Old San Juan or a trip into the mountains. Puerto Rico is called the Enchanted Island for many reasons.

Getting there

Daily flights on major carriers such as JetBlue, Continental and Spirit Airways fly right into Aguadilla which is only about a 20-25 minute drive. All major rental car companies are represented at the airport. There is also a Duty-free shop in the airport available to you for your flight back to reality.

Shopping

While in Puerto Rico, you have the benefits of many chain stores like Home Depot, K-Mart, Sears along with a Sams Club. Restaurants you know along with terrific local favorites.

About Tim & Margaret Gill

Maggie and I met, where else? On a beach but on Long Island when we were just teenagers in 1986. We celebrated our Silver Anniversary in July of 2011. We have a couple of terrific children, Jessica 25, still in medical school and Brian 23, working for Metro North. I inspect buildings for a living and Maggie drives a school bus. When we're not working, we love to get away to our future retirement home in Rincon where we've got the pleasure of making some real nice friends over the years in and around our Puerto Rican home. We enjoy getting away from it all whenever we can on one of those nightly JetBlue flights from JFK straight into Aguadilla-then it's only about a 25 minute drive to our warmer front door. Peace, quite, sunshine and smiles. Ah, Rincon, how we've missed you.

We know you have many places to choose from in which to spend your vacation, so why choose our property? Our vacation home is located in Puntas along the north side of Rincon so you can surf right 'outside the front door'. The area is also great for boogie-boarding and snorkeling. The home is in a gated community, with a 24 hour security guard and rests on 145 beautifully natural and landscaped acres along the 2 miles of secluded beach. The quiet and private community provides security and piece of mind for adults and especially for your small children-truly a terrific family environment. Our home is a 2-story Mediterranean-styled villa of over 2,000 square feet inside and furnished exterior patios outside. You can watch the water at the same time you're barbequing. You will enjoy comfortable nights on quality mattresses, pillows and sheets. There are plenty of towels and linens along with a nicely furnished kitchen. Central air conditioning on each floor is provided along with a laundry room. There is a 42 inch LCD TV for movie watching along with a stereo with an I-pod port for your favorite music. The villa is nicely decorated to complement the beach-front environment. Ocean views are present from the dining room and master bedroom. Warm, inviting and cozy you will find our home most relaxing for a fabulous vacation stay.While in Rincon, Maggie likes to walk/jog the mile-long driveway from the guard booth. There are tennis and basketball courts as well as an exercise room at the club house near the resort-styled swimming pool. We spend time collecting sea glass on our often secluded beach. We also snorkel one our beach and often relax at night playing dominoes or hanging with our neighbors. When we're out and about during the day, there is always a choice of what to see, where to go or what to buy. Privacy and security are two words we use to describe our vacation getaways at the gated community of Punta del Mar Beach Village.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how nice the villa we rented for the week. It was everything the owner had described and more. It had everything you could want with a lot of space and privacy. The villa was located about 100 yards from the beach which was very private. We felt very safe there in the gated community. There was swimming pool and tennis courts for all to enjoy.

Rincon was a very relaxing town with a lot of friendly people. There was plenty of great places to eat and drink. Our favorite place was just a 10 minute walk down the beach to Casa Islena.

West side of Puerto Rico had fantastic beaches. Lots of places to swim, snorkel and surf. Speaking of surfing, Tim's manager was able to get us surf lessons at the last minute with a wonderful instructor (his name is Adrien). That was well worth the time and money!

Overall, this was the best vacation my husband and I have ever taken. Relaxing, good weather, great fresh food and all around fun! We will be back again next year, but with our family this time and we plan to rent from Tim again. Believe me, we cannot stop talking to all of family and friends about what a wonderful place Punta Del Mar was to stay.

perfect family location

Any vacation can be perfect when everything goes according to plan, but when a vacation runs into unexpected challenges and still ends up perfect, you know you've found something extraordinary. My family and I encountered an unexpected situation upon our arrival to this property (details of the event are unimportant). What I will share is the unbelievable responsiveness and concern from Tim, the owner of this property. He was accessible and reachable, answering my calls and emails. He was professional and sympathetic. He was resourceful and accommodating. He was exactly the type of person you would hope to deal with in this situation. Because of him, our vacation truly was excellent and we felt confident in our decision to rent his beautiful house.

The villa itself is wonderful. Spacious, clean, comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would need for a stay and made cooking at the villa a pleasure. We have a toddler and having the common grassy area in front of the villa was paramount. We could sit out in front of the villa and watch him run and play. There were only a few people at the complex and we felt as if we were the only ones there. The beach out front was beautiful, and although the surf was rough this time of year, the natural tidal pool was a perfect, protected place for our son to splash around and enjoy the sand and sea.

This location was reminiscent of my time living on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The smells, the sun, the trade winds, the beach... everything was perfect.

We would not hesitate to rent here again and I would highly recommend this as a vacation for anyone. Tim was a pleasure to work with as he has great character and will stand by his property!

Amazing vacation

We loved staying at Punta Del Mar. Our villa was clean and well maintained. We were familiar with the area and loved being able to stay in this beautiful family community. My husband was able to surf right down the beach in front of the units which was a major bonus! Our 2 young boys were also able to swim in the tidal pool on calmer surf days. Tim and Margaret are warm, friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend!!!

Wonderful relaxing time in Rincon!

My family and I stayed for four days in January. The condo was wonderful, clean and had everything you would need to enjoy the sun, surf and beach. The kids loved the boogie boards, and the coolers came in very handy. Tim was great to deal with and we would recommend this place to anyone!!! It was a very peaceful in the complex, there were never more than 10 people on the beach by the complex. I wish I could give you more than 5 stars!!!!

We stayed at this condo for a week and had a fantastic vacation! The location is perfect, close to everything in rincon yet secluded and secure. The condo was very roomy and the owners thought of everything from snorkel equipment to coffee. I would highly recommend staying here for your vacation. We also enjoyed the restaurant tropical sunset that was reccommended by the owners. If we go back to rincon, punts del mar is the only place we would stay. Thank you for a great trip!

Great Family Vacation

What a wonderful family vacation! My parents, brother and I just visited Tim and Maggie's home this week for a last minute family vacation and we were very comfortable here. The property was immaculate, well decorated and had a great layout. The furniture seemed almost brand new and the linens were fresh and clean. We love hanging out on one of the many patios and watching the double rainbows that appeared every morning (it only rained for about 20 minutes in the mornings) or star gazing at night. I also noticed that the staff at the Punta del Mar Village was incredibly friendly and happy to help with recommendations for places to eat and hang out.

The beach in front of the property was narrow, but gorgeous and great for surfing but not swimming. If you take just a 10 minute drive you can get to a perfect swimming beach.

I would most definitely recommend this property to family and friends and hope to stay here again myself!

As a frequent visitor to Rincon for surfing, I've stayed in a number of different places. This is by far the most beautiful and well-maintained property I've stayed at. Went for the weekend with my grandma and girlfriend, and both loved it there. Grandma really loved chilling on the balconies and my gf and I loved walking on the beach and the close proximity to a number beaches for surfing and snorkeling. The owner was very helpful and easy to reach. The house is stocked with all the things you'd need for beach-going and exploring. Very serene and relaxing property, would definitely recommend and rent again. Thank you for a lovely stay in your lovely house.

Perfect Trip

In 13 years of visiting Rincon I have stayed all over the area. From bunk beds in the surf lodge, to friends couches, to luxury rentals in Ensenada Beach - I feel confident saying I know the local offerings well. This condo in Punta Del Mar is easily one of the nicest places to stay in Rincon. All of the basics apply: clean, big, air conditioning, full kitchen, big bedrooms, etc. What sets this place apart is the location. Punta Del Mar is on the fringe of town on the North facing coast of Rincon. The beach out front is practically private. In the course of 7 days, I may have seen 5 people out front on the beach. This is an asset you can't put a value on. Being from the northeast, I sometimes get sick of seeing so many people from NY/NJ every time I visit Rincon. This condo and it's surroundings provides the peace and quiet that none of the other places in town can. There's a nice little wave at the Rivermouth out front that can get fun, and if that get's blown out or too big, you can always go around the corner to the crowded spots in town (by car). A 5 minute drive into Aguada takes you to Guaynabo's Tropical Sunset where we had dinner 3 times during our stay (really a local spot, serving fresh Mahi Mahi and Conch and cold beer). You can also walk to Casa Islena and Tamboo which are traditional Rincon restaurants in the Puntas neighborhood.

To be direct, I would rent here again in a heartbeat. My wife, my daughter and I finally feel like we had a real vacation.

My family and I enjoyed very much staying at your place. The villa and its surrounding are beautiful. It was very comfortable and spacious.The beach was nice. My husband and daughter enjoyed snorkeling right there on the beach. Since I'm not a swimmer standing on rocks was uncomfortable. Overall, it was nice and very relaxing.

We strive to make our home as comfortable as possible and with over 2,000 sq. ft. of living area it is indeed spacious. Snorkeling just over the walk bridge is great but there are areas where the floor of the ocean will be sandy and then more rocky in other areas. A good pair of sunglasses will allow one to see the areas of sand and coral from the beach. Of course the coral areas is where all those beautiful fish hang out. We've even have seen seahorses which is kind of neat. Just to the left of the walk bridge, the floor is more sandy and much easier on the feet. A nice thing about our beach is that you can either sunbathe or sit and relax underneath palms trees. Beach chairs are provided in the closet underneath the staircase inside the villa. Great place to stay in Puerto Rico

Accommodations were great for a beach/surfing vacation in Puerto Rico. The complex is very secure, with great beach access on the property. Very family friendly and location is perfect for the surfing/snorkeling locations around Rincon. There is decent surfing on premise, and several other good breaks are minutes away. The condo itself was spacious and well-outfitted for a comfortable stay. We'd go back!
