2 bedrooms 1 full bathroom and one half bathroom. Sleeps 6

This unique property is located on an Island in the St. John's River just South of Welaka Fl. The cabin is fully appointed and situated on a beautifully shaded river front lot which affords the opportunity to boat, fish, swim, waterski or just relax on the 40 foot porch and watch the river go by. The Ocklawaha River and Silver Glen, Salt and Juniper Springs are just a short trip by boat. A full service marina is just across the river and many dining and sightseeing opportunities including Sport bass guiding is available as well. Wildlife including deer are often seen on the Island along with aquatic birds and raptors.

Drayton Island was home to many Precolumbian Indians and has midden mounds and other traces of these early civilizations. If you don't own a boat one can be rented or you can drive your car on the island after crossing the ferry. Of course launch facilities and supplies are located conveniently on the Mainland.

We totally enjoyed our entire 4 days here. The house itself is very comfy with more than enough room, having your choice of many comfy places to sit and relax and very well stocked with everything you would need.Above all the place I spent the most time was on the huge screen porch, where you can relax and see the river. with so many rockers and tables, ceiling fans and many interesting and unique features to enjoy, from there you can also see many birds, owls, hawks. I just loved everything about it and wouldn't change anything.We cooked on the grill, had a fire at night, fished off the dock which has a nice bench to sit on an look out on the river. caught bass. the yard is huge and has many trees.It is a very short boat ride across to the marina. The neighbors are fantastic and the owner is the best!! Thanks Mike for everything. We will be back soon and I can't wait!!!

Beautiful Cabin right in the middle of Lake George

My husband spoke with the owner before we arrived there so he was waiting for us at the nearby dock with his pontoon boat which he also generously included in the price of the weekend rental.We arrived at the cabin in just a few minutes.The cabin is so much nicer than the pictures show.It has recently been renovated with new beds in the bedrooms,nice new bathrooms and a full kitchen.The air conditioner works great and the front screened in porch is where we spend most of our time as it is huge with comfortable furniture and 3 ceiling fans.It is advertised as sleeping 10 people but there are only 2 dbl beds and 2 couches plus a futon but it is outside so you really wouldn't want to sleep there in the summer when it's too hot.So I would say it sleeps 6.There is also a very small grill there and it needs to be bigger too if your cooking for 6 people.It is nice that there are 2 bathrooms but when we were there the toilet in the back on wouldn't flush all the way so that could be a problem.Overall this is a great cabin,fully stocked with everything you will need for your stay including linens and towels,there's even a washer and dryer.I guess it could use some good old fashioned elbow grease but after all it is rustic so you know your not staying at the Ritz..haha.We all enjoyed our stay there very much and we would definately go back again.You also might want to stock it with some firewood in case people want to have a bonfire at night.That would be really nice right there on the water.Oh,and before I forget,please put up some curtains so your guests don't have to get up with the chickens inless they want to.Room darkening blinds would be even better in my opinion.Perhaps you could add some board games or horse shoes too.We think that the owners have done an excellent job remodeling this cabin.Thank you for allowing us the use it.We really enjoyed our visit.
