Amazingly Serene Picturesque Property
This cabin and property makes you feel as if your on a movie set ( think "On Golden Pond" ) From the tasteful interior to the outdoor amenities this place is paradise! The surrounding countryside and adorable villages are just picture perfect for a drive or bike ride ( two bikes are provided as well ). The owner John is very attentive to all your needs. We have used HomeAway for our vacation rentals in the States and Europe and this cabin is by far a must stay, you won't be disappointed!

Great souvenirs of the Green Acres
We had a great time at the cabin.
The description of the place and the pictures were accurate and we can say that when you are there you feel that the owner has done all to make hosts feeling like at home.
The property manager is very nice, he was there to welcome us and all along the vacation we knew that we could count on him whenever we needed some help or advice. So was the owner with which we kept in contact very easily by mail.
We were looking for a calm and romantic vacation, we slept on the soft grass in front of the lake, made fire camp at night, went on the lake with the boats, visited the little towns around the county (loved Andes, Margarethville) ant the farmers markets, did hikes in the forest around Stamford, went bowling in Stamford, had good coffe and met nice people at the Kaateskill café...we did very simple things and we liked this kind of life.
Yes we would suggest this place to friends, and if it was closer to home (we live in Paris) we would go there again.

Great house!
This house was a great place to stay in, it had everything we needed! It is right on the lake and has a row boat, canoe, fire pit, grill, and more! It's in a quaint town, the perfect getaway for a weekend.

Hey John,
The cabin was fantastic! ...so beautiful and peaceful. Thanks so much. I
loved the backyard, hammock and outdoor table. The bedrooms were great,
cozy and amazing view of the lake to wake up to.
Jerry was great. He was flexible with us when we were running a little
late to arrive, and helped us when my GPS got us on the wrong path.
Even came over the next day to show me how to work DVD player when we
couldnt figure it out.
And the place was totally clean, etc. The only suggestion Id have,
and it wasnt a big deal to my friend at I at all really, was storing
all the boats on the grass, upside down in between use. The kayak was
stored that way and was super clean and easy to use. The row boat and
peddle boat had a lot of water and stuff in them. We pulled the row
boat up to shore and wiped it out but next guests may not have my
friend Allison, seasoned camp counselor, to figure that out. And it
might be better for the boats too!
Overall the place was a dream! Ill definitely rent again and bring a
group of friends up sometime.
