We have been to several vacation homes and this one ROCKED! Not only was it private, it was BEAUTIFUL. We were able to enjoy our in town family, they are elderly and need an easy to acres location. Ivy Acres was PERFECT. The house was filled with all that we needed. We were able to enjoy a campfire TWICE and then retreat back to our cozy lodge. The beds were comfortable and the living space worked so well for a large family. Thank you Ivy Acres for being so awesome.

Had a wonderful stay at the Lodge. The house was as described, beautiful, well-maintained, and immaculate. The views from the porchwere beautiful and the hiking trails on the 80 acres so refreshing. Highly recommend this property. The owners were incredible hosts. We hope to return in the near future. The restaurants in downtown Greenville were excellent as well.

We rented the property for our family while we were in Greenville for our youngest daughter's wedding. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house was very clean and had everything that we needed. It was close to downtown Greenville for the wedding and just a little drive to Furman University where the reception was held. We are already looking forward to our next stay at the "Lodge" !! The guys found a really great Bar B Q Restaurant about 20 minutes from property near Clemson. The best bar b q this side of Texas ! It is "The Smokin Pig" in Pendelton !! A must when in the area but remember they are only open....Thursday, Friday and Saturday only. After a wonderful week in Greenville... when we returned home we received a "Thank You" note from Chuck and Debbie Hill ~ The owners ~ we have stayed in many VRBO but have never received a thank you note. They were very helpful before we arrived and very helpful during our stay. We would highly recommend The Lodge at Ivy Acres to our family and friends !!

Very Happy Memories

The accommodations could not have been more perfect. My parents (from Albuquerque), brother & wife (father/mother of the bride, from Myrtle Beach), my husband and myself stayed for 5 nights at Ivy Acre's during my nieces wedding. What a comfortable place to relax and enjoy family. The hikes on the trails by the river, sun rise from the porch, swinging on one of the many swings on the property, BAR-B-Q brisket, home cooked breakfasts, tag-team showers and thermostat wars were priceless.
Thanks Debbi and Chuck for sharing this beautiful part of the country.

Our family all gathered at the lodge for a week to celebrate the wedding of my youngest daughter. What a great place for a family gathering. Chuck could not have been more accommodating and friendly. We loved hearing all the history of his beautiful property. Lodge was spacious clean and well...............just perfect. Would certainly love to return again sometime when we have more time to enjoy the property!

Thanks Chuck for making our wedding week perfect!

I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER WITH A STAY!!

With two children under the age of 3 I don't find much time to write reviews anymore, however my stay was so EXCELLENT that I thought I better help someone else to make the good choice that I made. Where do I start. I was in town with my mother and father-in-law, my husband and my two small children and we wanted to all stay together if possible. I am all about reading reviews and making decisions based on them, so that is what I did. We stayed for a week, which ended up to be very inexpensive when we split the cost with my in-laws. Everything was super clean, there was a starter supply of household goods for us to start with (ie. laundry soap, coffee, bar soap etc...), the staff was very friendly, garbage was picked up twice a day (which helps with two kids in diapers), each place to sleep was supplied with extra clean sheets and blankets, and we were in the middle of mother nature. We actually took walks with the kids on the private road every night. I thought that not having a pool was going to be a huge inconvenience however we made it up by going to the Greenville zoo which is about 10 minutes away, and spending the day at the little splash area that was also about 10 minutes away and right on a beautiful walkway next to the river. My mother and father-in-law were able to spend some time back at the house relaxing in the hot tub while we were out. The fact that they had a room on the main floor was a BIG feature. So just when I thought that my experience couldn't get any better, I get a thank you card in the mail. Any place that can take the time to send me a personal thank you card deserves my business. If your looking for a WONDERFUL place to stay choose Ivy Acres, you won't regret it.

My husband and a few friends of ours stayed here June 2011. Chuck and Debbie are great people, kind & friendly! The Lodge is amazing. Very well kept, clean, spacious, nice view, big rooms. Sitting on the covered back porch during the evening was super relaxing, quiet. It was easy to find and to get back to as we ventured out. Awesome atmosphere. What you see in the photos is absolutely what you get :) I totally recommend staying here. I found this place just doing a general search in Greenville, Sc and I couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. I emailed when I found it and Debbie got right back to me, she is great at communicating in a timely manner. My friends where impressed once they seen the place, they didn't know what 2 think until they seen that I picked a awesome place for sure!! Thanks again Debbie and Chuck, you have a beautiful place!!

Stayed here with my aging parents and sister. It was just perfect. So quiet and so clean I couldn't believe it. This offers every amenity and is close enough to get in to Greenville but far enough away to escape all the busyness. So quiet and home like. Would recommnend and will stay here again!

Owner's Response: Fantastic! We love our satisfied customers!! Your positive comments are so appreciated. We never get tired of hearing nice things. Please tell your friends. We are always striving to improve and make changes to the house or the property. This spring we created a new creekside walking
trail that goes down to the Saluda River. Very pretty and tranquil. We have plans to make the upstairs sunroom of The Lodge into an extra bedroom with 4 bunkbeds - a fun place for the kids to sleep. It will feel like sleeping in a treehouse!

Best Wishes to all,
Chuck & Debbie Hill

As advertised, we stepped into The Lodge at Ivy Acres as if the online pictures had come to life. Clean, well equipped lodging presented by Debbie & Chuck Hill met and exceeded expectations for our family of 8 (7 adults, 1 baby) as we celebrated a family wedding in the Piedmont-Greenville, SC area over 4 days/3nights Convenient to highway systems, grocery store, and eateries. Relaxed in the hot tub, walked the wooded hiking trails and open fields and roadways, caught crickets, grasshoppers and small frogs to use for fishing in the pond and river, paddle boated around the pond, and re-connected with our family in the spacious lower level kitchen, den, eating area. Plush towels, soaps, and snacks greeted our family. The unseasonal extreme heat kept us off the tiered decking until sundown, yet we were able to sit and unwind outside and take in the silence and wildlife. Any questions we had were promptly responded to by the owner, Debbie, with a smile and a great southern drawl, making us feel special and like old friends. She was eager to share the heritage of their farm and RV park and the wonders of their life as they grew into the current Ivy Acres. In fact, the owners continued to work hard during the heat of the day to clear trees and limbs for new lodgers and ensure their mobile vehicles were not threatened. Did not miss having a house phone, as our Verizon cell phone coverage was 5 bars during our entire stay. Internet access allowed us to keep in touch with the outside world, as needed, and the oversized screen television provided a great perspective on the US Open Tennis tournament. Only thing our children missed was an outdoor swimming pool in which to cool off after a day outside in the 90-100 degree weather. We're already planning another visit, even without a wedding invitation. Encourage you to come down and enjoy the feel of SC and the Piedmont-Greenville area, as Greenville offers a wonderful downtown area with a Saturday farmer's market, busy night life and a wonderful place to visit with family and friends.
