Hello! My husband and I live on the western end of the beautiful Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia. I'm a landscape photographer, amateur painter, and local natural history specialist. Taking care of An Artist's House and sharing it with folks that visit our beautiful area is my passion. Looking to explore the region 'beyond the guidebooks' during your stay? Let me know if I can help with insider suggestions. Hope to see you in 2014!
We bought this home and the 60 acres surrounding it because of its beauty, history and spacious natural landscape. The house rests on a knoll overlooking several hundred acres of conservation lands along the Annapolis River-Basin. Once you visit you'll see why one guest referred to it as 'an extraordinary place of gentle beauty, history and art.'
This is a beautiful, classic Nova Scotian farmhouse with many windows, an open design and stunning views. The decor is cheerful and bright with lots of interesting artwork. A large deck in the back with picnic table and seating faces a spacious lawn with a trail that leads through the woods and fields to the water. Private and beautiful park-like setting. I provide many special touches in hopes that your visit will become the best vacation ever. Close to town, shops, national and provincial parks and restaurants.
