Amazing vacation!
My husband and I stayed in this beautiful beach condo in mid-May with our 2 boys (6months and almost-3 years) and my parents. We arrived at the condo after dark because of a late flight—when I woke up in the morning and walked into the main room the view from all the windows took my breath away.
There is a porch along 2 sides so there is almost always a place to sit outside and be out of the hot sun. The decor is beach-cottage-y, bright and cheery—looks like it's straight from the pages of the Coastal Living magazines that sit on their coffee table. The condo is even prettier and larger than I had in my mind from the photos online.
The location was great. Walking distance from the village and adjacent to a little path to the beach. While the beach is probably a bit closer than it appears in the photos (you can hear the waves), it is a bit of a hike with little ones and a bunch of gear in the heat. With that said, I'd rather make that hike any day than navigate the long hallways, elevators and crowds of one of the many high-rise condos in the area. There's also a nice little pool that we used almost every day and never encountered another person there.
We had a couple little snags at the beginning, including an issue with the AC, but I called Dawn and the repairman was there and it was fixed within hours.
This was our first time in Siesta Key and we'd recommend it to anyone. A few of our favorite places during our stay: The Cottage, SKOB, Captain Curts, St. Armands circle (about 25 minute drive). We also rented some baby gear and toddler toys, pack n play, etc. from A to Z Baby and that was very handy.
We love to travel and see the world, but now that we have little ones it's nice to do a low-key vacation where you can unpack and settle into one place for a week or so. Because of this, we'll be back to Siesta Key and hopefully this beautiful condo!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful home, Dawn!
