Maine Paradise Cliffside--Who could ask for more?

I can't imagine a better vacation site. We found that this place has it all. There we were, perched on a cliff over the ocean with absolutely gorgeous views all day and evening (the stars are spectacular), with islands and a rocky coast across Blue Hill Bay, the extended ocean view to the west, phenomenal sunsets, and barely another house in sight (except far across the bay). So it was tempting to stay put, which you easily can in this spot, given multiple decks that allow you to catch the sun or shade at any time of day/evening, rocky cliffs that served as our own living room/lounge, lush green grounds all around that are full of birds and song, multiple living areas for games, late night chats, etc., and a wonderfully furnished living space and kitchen.
But we are very active folks with no intention of just staying put, and we found this a great spot for biking and long walks (especially in Acadia's carriage roads), boating, swimming, shopping, and of course, eating. The house is big but feels cozy (we had 7 people staying and never felt crowded). The owners stocked the house with information about places to eat and play. There are great restaurants nearby but at sufficient distance that you feel you're in a lovely, quaint, rural setting.
Hey, what more could you want, except a masseuse...but the constant song of the waves gives a pretty good massage job on its own. This is a great spot for young and old, active and lazy, sophisticated and simple.
