We were very, very pleased with this rental. Like other reviewers, we found the home to be very comfortable, clean and well decorated. Our favorite part was the outside seating area and kitchen. We enjoyed sipping wine, cooking and dining! My husband and I rent frequently for vacations but always have a bit of suspense wondering if the reality meets the anticipation. This time it exceeded!

This house is so much more than what one can see and appreciate in the online photos. It was the perfect location and had all the amenities needed (except a hairdryer!). I stayed here for an extended business trip, and unfortunately did not get an opportunity to enjoy a lot of time at the house, but I will definitely stay here again. The house is clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, and an amazing back yard and venue. Only a few minutes to Whole Foods, and great freeway and SFO airport access, and just an overall great place to stay. Nancy was easy to work with and very accommodating, and I would highly recommend staying here.

This property was above and beyond what we expected. The living room and den offered ample room for relaxing family time and TV watching. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. We would definitely stay at this home again!

Wonderful place to stay

We live locally, but rented this house while our floors were being refinished. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time at the house to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. The house is very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner was flexible, helpful, and kind. We highly recommend staying here.

Our family stayed here in June. The location was convenient to highway CA-101 and to SFO airport and yet provided the getaway we were looking for, once we arrived inside to the views overlooking the lovely lagoon oasis in the backyard. We spent breakfasts and dinners out on the covered deck and outdoor kitchen beside the water. We delighted in the comfortable outdoor sectional seating, watching the water skiers and the canal view at sunset. The house was well equipped and immaculately clean. We also spent some time walking around the neighborhood and visiting several of the parks located nearby. The owner was always responsive to our needs. Highly recommended!

My wife, 3 year old son, and mother-in-law stayed here for two weeks in November. We had a wondeful, relaxing stay and would highly recommend the house. Inside, is furnished with beautiful pieces of art and has a comfortable layout. Outside, both the front and back yards have beautiful landscaping that really enhance to property. There is a lovely covered back patio with an outdoor kitchen. The backyard overlooks one of the wide canals that come in from the Bay. Bird enthusiasts will love the number and variety of birds. From the dock, there's a great view of the hills separting San Mateo from the ocean. Nancy was a gracious, responsive host. The house is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood and is not within walking distance of restaurants or shops, so a car is a must. The house is close enough to the freeway for easy access to San Francisco, etc, but far enough that you won't be bothered by traffic noise.

It was only by chance we saw this rental listed and Nancy replied to our initial inquiry very promptly. We needed a location where we could visit the city but also travel south to Palo Alto where our daughter was swimming at the US Nationals during the first part of our stay. This was an ideal spot and when we arrived we were greeted not only by Jewels, the owner's daughter and give the grand tour but also a fantastic home - not just a rental property but a real home. There were fantastic decorations with a strong Mexican influence and the whole place immediately put us at our ease. The outdoor spaces were lovely, great views over the water, covered spaces to sit out of the sun or a lovely area where we could get a tan. This home had everything and we felt comfortable right from the word go. The two main living areas provided masses of space and the two larger bedrooms overlooked the water - what a view first thing in the morning. Although close to everything, it was peaceful and relaxing but with the freeway literally 2 minutes away, the airport not more than 15 and San Mateo with its restaurants everything was available easily. If you need to be in San Franciso or the area this is an ideal spot and would recommend it very highly indeed. As we said a real home from home.
