My husband and I decided we needed a quiet getaway from the city for our honeymoon and Hidden Gem was the perfect place. It was only about an hour and a half from Metro Atlanta and very easy to find. We appreciated Jerry’s clear and organized directions and welcome letter. He makes you feel like family when you visit! When we arrived, we were so impressed! It looked like we had stepped into a page from a magazine. The house was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. My husband loved the huge flat screen TV in the living room! The best part is the breathtaking view from the deck. The photos don’t do it justice! The house was well stocked. There was gourmet coffee, bottles of water, soda, full kitchen with dishes and cooking utensils, laundry room with detergent and fabric softener, plush towels, and the list goes on and on. We enjoyed the charming town and spent one afternoon walking around mainstreet. We went to the Fun Factory one day and ate lunch at the Boiler Room (delicious!) and enjoyed a few games of bowling. One of the highlights for us was the Great Smokey Mountains Railroad. It leaves from Bryson City, which is a 30-45 minute drive from Hidden Gem. The train ride is 4 hours roundtrip with a 30 minute “layover” at a nature center. The leaves were beautiful this time of year. We had a great time on the train and highly recommend it to others. I can’t think of anything bad to say about Hidden Gem. We can’t wait to go back!!
