Chef's kitchen and outdoor grill make cooking a delight, and the airy eat in dining room or outdoor banquet table is the ultimate in wine country living. Gorgeous Sonoma House!

This house was spectacular for my group of 8. We arrived and the house was in perfect condition and very clean. It is a very large house with plenty of space so that 8 people never felt crowded or on top of each other. The grounds are beautiful and I only wished that we had stayed during the summer so that we could have used them more as well as the pool. The listing description and photos are very accurate and the owner was extremely responsive to my emails before and during the trip. The coffee maker malfunctioned during our first morning and within a few hours of me emailing the owner about it, a new coffee maker was delivered to the house so that we didn't have to go another morning without our cup of joe! The house amenities were great - a gourmet kitchen, plenty of towels, comfortable bedding, multiple gas fireplaces, etc. I am always skeptical when I go to rent a house, but this one was perfect. I hope to visit again in the future!

Well...WOW!!!

This was our first HomeAway rental and we feel like we hit the jackpot! We enjoyed so much that Sonoma and Napa had to offer while we were there, but getting 'back to our house' for those four lovely days was always a priority! As others have echoed, the pictures don't do the place justice! Just stunning, but at the same time, relaxed, comfortable, welcoming and well-stocked with the (high-end) basics and then some. The pool was awesome, the outside heater kept us on the patio late in to the evening, the house itself was immaculate, the grounds beautifully landscaped and it's just pretty darn cool to have a little vineyard for a front yard! My husband and I immediately started scheming for our return trip to Tom's great property. And speaking of, Tom was nothing short of amazing either. Incredibly detailed in the materials he sends before the stay, responsive to emails, patient with questions and genuinely interested in us having a great experience. Thanks Tom! Wonderful oasis!

This home is even more beautiful in person. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend with friends and truly kept us smiling the entire time. The kitchen was perfectly equipped to cook for a group of 8 adults. The layout of the property is spacious and very comfortable for people to spread out. We swam every day, and enjoyed the warm Sonoma sun. Highly recommend staying here.

Amazing Home! Amazing Time!

This property was absolutely perfect! Before arriving Tom had already made preparing for our stay super easy! Our group celebrated a birthday and anniversary while here and could not have been at a better place. After touring Sonoma & Napa each day it was an absolute perfect place to come "home" to. Thanks again for everything Tom, we will definitely come back!

Great Little (big) Hideaway

Our group stayed at this home for a total of 4 days. We came from the Los Angeles area, the 7 hour drive was definately worth it. The home is beautiful, much larger than the pictures show. It was fully equipted with everything that we needed. Much like a home away from home. It was very close to towns center, and some great vineyards! The owner does a wonderful job at explaining everything there is at the property, to make the stay haggle free, so customer service was great! Looking forward to another visit... thank you

Amazing Relaxing Getaway!

From the initial contact, one can tell that Tom has experience being the consummate host of an amazing property tucked away in one of the most convenient locations to downtown Sonoma! After booking, Tom sent an email with details instructions of how to access the home, including tips on the local coffeeshop with Blue Bottle!
As others had noted, the house is nothing short of amazing -- and the photos actually do not do it justice! Immediately, one can tell that the house is taken care of immaculately and has plenty of stay-in options from a Viking kitchen to an outdoor grill and heater (for those chilly Sonoma nights) to a hot tub/pool area to the indoor fireplaces (yes, plural!). It was nice to imagine that the property's vineyard was your own for a weekend getaway!
The bride-to-be and I were able to go on morning runs and the nearby scenery is gorgeous, with plenty of friendly neighbors walking their dogs! Not only was Blue Bottle coffee a short walk, but Whole Foods was 10 min drive away. We were able to enjoy a fabulous brunch at The Girl and the Fig downtown.
Tom was readily available for a quick hot tub setup question. From booking to checking out, the process is professional and worry-free. He even went above and beyond the best homeowner duties with a special request. I definitely recommend a weekend at the Sonoma Hideaway!

Terrific Home

We had a wonderful New Years retreat, with 3 families. It was a lovely home to get away and spend time together, just cooking, drinking wine, reading and watching movies. The kitchen was perfect for cooking some great meal, and the hot tub was also a treat. We would recommend this house to families, and would love to return in the summer and sit by the pool.

Spacious and welcoming

What a wonderful place to stay in Sonoma! The house easily absorbed all of us and gave opportunity for both fellowship and privacy. The premises were spotless upon arrival, with fresh roses from the garden in virtually every room. It was like staying in the home of a friend. All furnishings were very new and comfortable, with lots of books, games, and videos at hand. The kitchen was professional quality with plenty of implements available. We are a family of cooks and found the kitchen very fun and easy to use. The bedrooms were very comfortable and quiet. The grounds were immaculate, and the roses were all in full bloom during our stay. There is even a tiny vineyard in front for the full wine country experience! There were beautiful walks available both to downtown and the surrounding residential area. There are several vintners nearby; we especially enjoyed the Gundlach-Bundschu winery. The grocery shopping was a treat for us small-town guests-plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables available, as well as tasty artisan breads from the Whole Foods Market in Sonoma. We made several forays into wineries in both the Sonoma and Napa Valley; the drives were short and easy, especially during the week. One of the bonuses of this rental are the quick and friendly responses from the owner when we had a concern or a question; he was unusually gracious when we misunderstood our check-out date. We definitely recommend this rental; it was a grand base for our family to explore the beautiful wine country of Sonoma and Napa Counties!
