The house was gorgeous! Loved the "animals" in the house!! Very clean, kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies (pots, pans, etc). This was a "relaxation" vacation, and were a little disappointed in the small tv's. Enjoyed the pool table - spent lots of time playing pool -- and we enjoyed the hot tub!! Location was great - only abou 15 minutes to the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. We would highly recommend this house!! Very peaceful and quiet location!!

We had a wonderful time on vacation and this cabin was absolutely beautiful. Charlotte and Laurence put many small decorating details into this cabin and it was so cozy and comfortable. It was also away from everything and just to have the peace and quiet was a blessing. Charlotte you are an absolute joy to deal with. The cabin was also very clean!! And the trees and mountains were spectacular.

We loved the cabin! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool table and the games in the basement along with the hot tub! We took our bikes and were able to go for a family bike ride around the neighborhood while enjoying the views of the surrounding mountains....awesome! We also took advantage of the 5 minute drive to the Metcaff Bottoms picnic area. The picnic area is great! Many picnic tables spaced out along the river where you can play and walk out on the rocks in the river. Another family favorite spot nearby, is the country store right around the corner with an ice cream and fudge shop (I would recommend the hot apple turnover with the cinnamon ice cream on top!) I can't say enough about how great our stay was! Thank you, Charlotte for all the wonderful tips and information you provided to make our stay even better!!

This is the best cabin we have ever stayed in. Perfect location to everything in the Smokies. The cabin is perfectly decorated and very well maintained. Very well stocked kitchen, huge hot tub on the wrap around porch, large yard with charcoal grill, picnic table and seating area. Looking forward to staying at Whisperwind again next summer.

We stayed for a week June 11-18,, 2011 My husband and I and our 2 young daughters stayed upstairs (HUGE CALI KING UPSTAIRS AND ADORABLE TWINS FOR THE GIRLS!!)and my parents stayed in the master downstairs. We had the privacy we needed from eachother yet the atmosphere we were looking for to spend time together. The cabin was so clean and well decorated it was so inviting! The Park entrance through Metcalf Bottoms was so close!! Charlotte leaves a vistors binder with directions and maps specifically detailed from her cabin and even tells how long the drive takes. We loved that and used it frequently because we didnt know the area as well as my expert parents who visit atleast once (usually twice) a year to the Smokies. Showers are small, if you are a large person, you may have to plan on bathing in the GIANT jacuzzi tub, and get it started early cause it takes a long time to fill. (My daughters took a bath in there once and we felt like we were wasting too much water to use it. The hot tub outside though is so relaxing and well maintained. I love the porches, there are 360 views. The sunsets and the sunrises are very beautiful from the porch and furniture on the porch is comfortable. Even a ceiling fan on the front porch where the afternoon sun is the hottest. A grilling area outside and picnic areas, one on the deck one by the grilling area. My daughters loved the yard with all the trees. The only other complaint I have is I need more time to enjoy the whole area!! I guess we'll have to come back and are seriously considering visiting Whisperwind again in the Winter, it must be BREATHTAKING!!

Owner's Response: We often say that "Whisperwind is host to some of the nicest guests in the Smokies" -- and we are sincerely humbled by the positive reviews our cabin receives -- folks are so very nice about everything, even when they have a critique about something. We're sure all the pluses and minuses are a help to future guests in considering our cabin. We have our own "cabin to-do list" and always appreciate comments and suggestions from our guests. Together, we can make Whisperwind the very best it can be!

We really enjoyed our stay in your cabin. Even though it wasn't secluded, it felt private. Loved the decks with the hot tub and the porch swings. Plenty of room with the three levels. It is a very easy drive to the cabin, and not hard to find. Charlotte is a very nice person and easy to work with and talk to. Thanks for renting your cabin to us, and we hope to be able to stay here again in the future. We highly recommend this cabin.
