Photos and Description of the Sayulita vacation house rental
House, 4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Casa Limon is ideally situated, a five minute walk from town and 3 minutes to the beach. Although from the outside it looks like a cute little Casa, inside it is spacious and well laid out. It has a fully renovated kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms and the floors are newly tiled throughout. This is a four level house with 2 queen-sized beds and two double beds (all new mattresses) , There is a deck off the living room with a table and chairs, ideal for morning coffee, there is also a staircase leading up to a rooftop terrazza with a 360 degree view, including a view of the ocean.

There is a private outdoor shower and sink, half bathroom in the upper bedroom and a full bathroom with laundry facilities on the lower floor.

Casa Limon is ideal for surfers, for families, or for a group of friends.

There is regular maid service, hiking and biking tours through the jungle offered by my property manager Lorenzo, who owns the great Chile Relleno restaurant around the corner. Lorenzo and his wife Estella will also cater and deliver meals to your doorstep.

Keywords: Casa Limon, three storeys, north side of town.

About The Owner

I live and work in Vancouver but love to spend time in Mexico during our cold winter months. Last April I travelled to Sayulita and promptly fell in love with it. I found a small house for sale, impulsively made an offer and by the end of August it was mine. The next six months were spent renovating and my simple little Mexican house has been transformed into a spacious and welcoming Casa.

The Owner purchased this house in 2009
Why The Owner chose Sayulita

Sayulita is a popular, constantly growing town with a wonderful mix of local expats and Mexicans all taking pride in their town. The beach is wonderful, the surfing is great, the restaurants cover a broad spectrum, from delicious fish tacos sold by street vendors to the very finest of dining. There is lots to do and see in Sayulita, a great art gallery, (Arte de Sayulita) unusual shops, weekly markets, surfing swimming, sunbathing, and of course, glorious weather.

What makes this house unique

Close access to the beach, sitting on my deck drinking coffee in the mornings, having guests over at happy hour (hora feliz) and watching the sun set from the upper deck. Listening to CDs or my iPod (there is an iPod docking station and a CD player) in the evenings and entertaining friends for dinner. Or walking down to the beach and enjoying a margarita at La Terrazola while people-watching and enjoying the spectacular sunset. At least 2 nights a week wandering around the corner to Lorenzo and Estellas' restaurant and enjoying the best chile rellenos ever.

New Years in Sayulita!

We stayed at Casa Limon for one week over New Year's Holiday. This was our first time in Sayulita.
We had a great vacation! The house was just like on the pictures. The owner and the manager were most helpful with any questions we had. The house was perfectly located, 2 blocks from the beach and an easy 5 minute walk to town, just enough distance to not be bothered by the noise of the town. Our three teenagers loved it too and we are considering returning next holiday season.

Casa Limon is a great place to stay if you are visiting Sayulita. We have been going to stay in Sayulita for the past 4 years with family and have stayed in many neighborhoods and homes throughout. I would rate Casa Limon as on of the better values. It is clean, convenient and has lots of room for a small family. It is situated in the north end, away from the noise and dust of the downtown...but only a short walk to the action! also it is only 2 minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and shops.

A great place to stay

Casa Limon was the ideal place for our family vacation. Close to everything, spacious, clean, and quiet. We have stayed right in the center of town before and could not sleep at night because of all the noise. Not the case at Casa Limon. A five min, walk from the beach and the center of town but without all the traffic and noise. The upper patio was an ideal spot for breakfast and to enjoy a cerveza in the afternoon. The house was clean and well kept and Lorenzo the caretaker was extreemly helpful. We will definatly stay at Casa Limon again give it two thumbs up.

What a great get-a-way!

I am so grateful that I found the Casa Limon on VRBO, and I plan to return someday! Two short blocks to the beach, Three blocks to downtown. Lots of space, I stayed for 12 days in May.

The home was clean and well looked-after. This would be a great place for 3 or 4 friends to go and rent for a week or two, work on your surfing. Rental cars in Puerta Vallarta are so inexpensive, that it doesn't make any sense to take a taxi to get here. If you have a car, you can drive to some of the other beaches to find the great waves and explore other towns like San Pancho or Punta de Mita.

However, there are so many great little restaurants in Sayulita, some great little beachside bars and very friendly locals who can answer any questions you may have. I regret, looking back, that i didn't go on any deep sea fishing excursions offered beachfront or try a wider variety of restaurants.

But, the nice thing is I think I'll be going back regularly!

The house was beautiful. The roof was great for eating breakfast in the morning. The kitchen is stocked full of everything you need to cook every night. The only thing we wish we would have had was air conditioning. It would be fine in peak season, but is a bit warm mid-may.

Lovely place to live!

This was my home for one wonderful month this spring!! I absolutely loved the place, Eve was super helpful with any questions that I had and Lorenzo the property manager is an excellent source of information and local advice and help. The house is in a quieter part of town (which is great when you want to get to bed early so that you can get up early the next morning and go surfing!) and is still a quick 3-5 minute walk to town (and even quicker walk to the beach!). There are some great restaurants just around the corner as well as a surf shop.

The rooftop terrace is a lovely place to hang out and watch the sun set or just soak in the sun earlier in the day :) I personally spent a lot of time up there just reading and hanging out. I also liked having the downstairs bedroom options to sleep in when the weather was warmer at night. Living in Sayulita is an absolutely fantastic experience and I will definitely be doing it again next spring when I want to get away from the late snowfalls that seem to come unexpectedly!

King of the Casa Limon, for a few days

Enjoyable vacation. Nicely laid out house built into a hill on north side of river running through Sayulita. Has 4 good size beds, a kitchen, living room and two bathrooms, one of which has a shower, There's a rooftop patio, which is great for breakfasts and sunsets at opposite ends of the day, and a second shower outside on terrace.
Owner responds promptly to emails. The caretaker lives next door and is helpful. Tiled floors and counter tops are easy to wipe clean. A relatively short walk to the sandiest beach at foot of Miramar. Maybe 10 minutes to town or 20 to the swimming beach in front of the town cemetery.
Town has many good restaurants: particularly the original Fish Taco, beside the town square or zocala, upstairs above the Tequila Bar, and the Sayulita Cafe, down the street from square. Rick's Blue Iguana, towards the beach from the square, is first choice for breakfast and smoothies.
Nice to be king of the castle for a change. I've already told a number of friends about Casa Limon.

Casa Limon exceeded our high expectations: what a pleasure! It is much roomier than you might think from the outside photograph, since it is multi-leveled. We were two adults, a 20 year old son, and a 17 year old son, and there was plenty of space for all of us, with some to spare. The boys appreciated each having their own room downstairs-- and we liked having them down there too!

We found it very clean, and the furnishing tasteful and comfortable. Several days, I chose to just hang out on the deck and in the living room, reading and relaxing. Very nice!

The location is excellent, up on a hill with a great view from the terrace, which, incidentally, is very private. Just minutes from the town square (close enough so I would sometimes go and fetch take out coffee, and arrive back with it still piping hot), but far enough away to be peaceful. There is also a really good restaurant just a few steps away and a bookshop where you can also get coffee. There are little stores etc. to get water and other liquids just down the street.

Really nice, too, is that it is on the side of the river where in our opinion the best part of the beach is located, or at least it is a much shorter walk to the best, less crowded part section of the beach.

We loved Sayulita, and we loved Casa Limon. Highly recommended.

Great time at Casa Limon!

I stayed at Casa Limon for 10 days and had a wonderful visit. The house was clean and spacious enough for six people to enjoy. There is a nice view from the terrace. The terrace was a bit small but as I'm told that is being expanded. I would love to make another visit to Casa Limon. Lorenzo and his family (the landlord) were a pleasure to be around and make amazing chile rellenos in there little restaurant downstairs. I would recommend Casa Limon to anyone who is looking for a positive fun family experience or just a group of friends coming for a fun vacation.

This quaint and delightful little cutie only looks small from the outside. Inside it is surprisingly roomy with lots of space and charming details. There are several levels with room for people to spread out without feeling crowded. My husband, adult daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is nicely decorated and clean and user friendly. There is a full kitchen and a great view from the rooftop terazza down over the ocean: excellent place to sip a margarita and chill. Our daughter loved that is is a short walk to the beach and just 5 minutes from downtown. There are several great restaurants a few minutes away right on the beach. Sayulita is a very tourist friendly town and while the locals appreciate it if you seak Spanish, most of them speak serviceable English. The listing photos are good but don't do the place justice, it looks even better. We will certainly be returning and would have no hesitation recommending Casa Limon.
