This is a big, roomy, comfortable house with outstanding views and plenty of space for our extended family of ten (two couples, six girls ages 11-17) to spread out. The owners, Ann and Peggy, were very friendly, easy to work with and happy to answer all of our questions. The caretakers in Maui, Phil and Sharon, couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, yet completely unobtrusive. We spent two heavenly weeks sampling many of the nearby beaches, relaxing in the wonderful pool and hot tub and taking in sunsets from the wrap around deck.
In between beach days, our adventures included; The Road to Hana, Haleakala National Park, snorkeling at Molokini (you can see it from the deck), a visit to Surfing Goat Dairy and shopping in Lahaina, to name a few. We also loved the towns of Pa'ia and Makawao which were fun, funky and less touristy - great shops too!
The famous Mama's Fish House is as amazing as everyone says it is - location, ambiance, view, service and (of course) food - pricey, but worth it. Our favorite restaurant of all though turned out to be a fairly new one called Monkey Pod, right up the street.
No matter what we did, it was always a pleasure to come back to the big house on the hill with the panoramic views. It's a lovely quiet neighborhood, conveniently located just 10-15 minutes to grocery and other shopping, many beaches, restaurants, etc. We loved staying here and highly recommend it to you and your family!
