“Ryan’s View” lived up to it’s great reputation as a fun and relaxing getaway in paradise. The owners, Patrice and Bill were just finishing up their own vacation at Ryan’s View, and so we had the great fortune to have them pick us up at the airport and give us the grand tour of the area and their home in Miley. They are incredibly kind and hospitable and we became instant friends. Patrice went to great lengths to make sure our trip was wonderful in every way. We were
introduced to Ingrid who answered all our questions about Long Island, and who took excellent care of the home, keeping us stocked up with fresh towels and linens, and all the comforts of
home.
The house was incredibly beautiful with its wrap-around porches, beautiful furnishings, and a view of the ocean that was to die for! And there is a gorgeous beach just down the path which you can walk on for miles.
The sunrises and sunsets at Ryan’s view were awe-inspiring. We woke up every morning to experience the colorful sunrise. And with the hot tub on the deck, what a great way to end theday- gazing at the stars while relaxing in the hot tub.
We enjoyed exploring the beautiful beaches and sites of Long Island, and in our opinion, the most beautiful beaches are on the south of the island, either at Ryan's view or nearby. The Beaches on the Atlantic side are breath taking with their darker blue waters and bigger waves, (we even saw a surfer one day). While the beaches on the Caribbean side are the classic aqua blue, shallow waters, with white sand beaches. We enjoyed Gordon's beach, the pools at Bonacorde, Galloway beach, and a few shipwrecks along the coast. We made the trip to Columbus Point, located on the northern tip of the island. It was well worth the trip, as we were able to see the beauty of the northern tip of the island, and have fun exploring along the way. We loved the local cuisine, and our favorite were the conch meals at Rowdy Boys, and the Outer Edge.
"Ryan's View" was a perfect way to celebrate our 20th Anniversary!
Thank you Patrice and Bill for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!
