The living room and kitchen opens to a comfortable lanai and screened pool. An large wood sun deck is located just outside the pool area and a thirty foot dock is available for your own boat or a rental if you choose. This property is really the ideal setting for family fun in the Florida sun.

This home is located in 'The Landings' which is one of the most prestigious areas of Fort Lauderdale. The property is perfect for a mid-sized family as it sleeps 8 comfortably. We have recently installed a new Dish HDTV system and refurnished a twin bedroom suite. The deck area has a screen enclosure and there is also an outside sundeck for working on your Florida tan. Very nice!

We arrived a little bit early and found the owners, Tom and Jan, making sure everything was in order for us and they were really nice and helpful. The house was impecable and really nice, just like the photos show, and the neighbourhood was really nice and close to the beach. We only stayed four days there but sure hope it was longer. The only thing that I would recommend is putting more confortable beds, they were a bit hard.
We had an amazing time there, thank you Tom and Jan! I totally recommend it

Nice Quite Place to Stay

We stayed at this nice house while down for the college football national championship game. When we arrive, there was a welcome basket of fruit waiting for us. The house was very clean and comfortable. We were only there for a few days, but it I would recommend it to other travelers. Thanks again.

Our Family (7 people) spent one week in this nice apartment. The neighborhood was clean full of beautiful houses and people were nice. We had coffee, fruits and even beer waiting for us when we came. Tom was helpful when we met him shortly after arrival. Jan took care of payments and other things just fine. We can recommend this apartment for everyone. In the future we hope more light to the entrance . It was not easy to open the outside door in the evening when it was dark because we could not find the outside light. This is one of the best rental apartments that we have ever been and we hope to came back one day.

Great place to stay

After travelling 4000 miles it was great to find Jan & Tom had left a lovely welcome basket of fruit and cakes. We even managed to find coffee left by other people, We had trouble opening the key lock but after a phone call to Tom we eventually got into the house.

The house was clean and roomy we really enjoyed staying there.Many hours were spent in the pool and sun bathing on the deck, As we don't drive getting to places would have been difficult but we found a great guy Sam at Yellow Cabs . One phone call and he was ready to take us to our destination. .

Would like to go back again one day.

Wonderful place

We had an excellent stay at this property. Having our own pool an privacy was very nice. We have been using the pool a lot, wich felt very warm for us people from Norway. In the evening we could sit outside with the candlelights and just listen to the silence and enjoy the warm summer evenings. Renting a house like this is much better than staying in a hotel. The Tv.....we didnt have time to watch any, we wanted to enjoy every minute of the warm weather, wich is luxury to us. The welcome basket was a nice suprise after a long trip. If You should improve something, we would recommend to change the deck table and the two beach chairs........small cost but gives a better impression:) Thank You for letting us stay at your house. Best Value- Lovely home for the savvy family

I wanted to thank Janet for being so responsive before, during and after our stay. Renting a home, instead of a hotel, can be a little daunting to some, but her professionalism always assured of a seamless experience.

I read through all of the reviews, and I have to say that I can understand and agree with all of them. (Both the praises and the recommendations for improvement.) But I thought it was important to point out that this home is very competitively priced, and never claimed to be a luxury 5-star property.

We have rented many vacation homes in the past and while some might have been "newer", "grander", or with superior amenities, we recognize that this was by far the best VALUE for what we'd get: an impeccably maintained, super clean, spacious home in a very convenient location.

As noted in other reviews, the pool is certainly a bit chilly, and the television sets are older and smaller than what some of the "newer" homes offer. We also noticed that we did not have 100+ cable channels to choose from- just basic cable. But I am not recommending that the owners make these improvements, as doing so will surely drive up their rental price. (I just wanted to offer a thorough review so that people do not have unfairly high expectations.)

So if you are looking for a luxury-class, new-construction, heated-pool home that will offer endless channels on TV for you to sit on a couch all day- then don't bother. This home is for the savvy family looking for a little bit of simplicity and serenity, at a home base with rates cheaper than a single room hotel. It is absolutely lovely in its ability to offer just that.

Wonderful start for our vacation

The rental house was very nice and a wonderful start for our holidays in florida.
We appreciated the welcome basket especially the coffee because we needed
it so much after a horror flight with airfrance. the location was just great as it
was close to facilities,restaurant etc. the children loved the pool as we are
not used to have one at home. the only thing which was missing was the
light at the front door. The available pocket lamp was not working.
But again all other things were excellent and if we plan again vacation
in that area we are looking forword to rent the house again.

Fun in the Sun!

Nice rental property in Fort Lauderdale. Close to beaches and attractions. The home was very clean and welcoming. Also received a welcome basket of fruit and baked goodies, plus a great bag of coffee. Our family was in town for a wedding and the home worked perfect for us. We asked for the roll away bed at last minute and it was there upon our arrival. Tom and Jan were very helpful, they were very quick to respond to all emails, and it was greatly appreciated. On the downside, the pull out couch was in need of repair, we were informed it would be replaced soon, we could not find an electrical outlet in the main bathroom (which was a little problem), and no mirror in some of the bedrooms. All in all it was the best furnished rental home we have ever been too, and we had a great time, and we look forward to future stays.
Owner's Response: Thanks to our new friends for their positive review, In answering their suggestions, we have now replaced the sleeper sofa and the electrical outlet which is located in the main bathroom is somewhat hidden from view. We have now posted a small directional sign for future guests so this won't be an inconvenience in the future. Also we are also hanging mirrors in two of the bedrooms. The feedback from our guests is always appreciated so that we can make our home more appealing and functional.

A wonderful spot!

This a great house for a family of 4 or 5. We never left the deck and pool area the entire month. The view was relaxing and peaceful. Great house if you have children or dogs. The yard is completely fenced in which gives you comfort knowing all are safe within. Despite some aging issues with the home, property is extremely well maintained. The property managers Jan and Tom were very responsive to our needs. Also enjoyed a welcome basket of goodies upon arrival. We had a great vacation!

Perfect living

This house is perfect for the large family or group of friends who needs a larger homebase for exploring these parts of Florida. Excellent stores for any needs within 0-2 km. The pool and bq was frequently used by us and that made it even more exotic. The house also has possibilitys to wash, great if you travel light wich will give you more room for investments at Sawgrass Mills (Outlet 25 min away as big as any airport...). For eating at night we went to nearby TGI or Aruba Cafe down on the beach. If you are into golf you got Edwin Watts gofshop just some hundred meters down on US 1. All preparations by our hosts where superb throughout the process of booking and departure. We can highly recommend this property, you will not be disappionted.
