The other reviews have said everything I would have said, too. We had the greatest time at the cottage. It was exactly as described and pictured. Very quiet and comfortable. To wake up in the morning and have coffee on the huge deck looking out over the water was just incredible. And if the weather was not so nice you could still see the lake because of the huge windows that overlook it. I would not hesitate an instant to recommend this cottage to anyone I know and I hope my family and I can enjoy it for many years to come.

We have been vacationing in the Wells area for abot 4 years now. This year with three little kids we decided to try domething a little different. We like the way this sounded because it was close to Wells, Kennibunk, and all the places we know but thought a lake experiance would be fun.
We had no idea how great it would be. The lake was so much fun we only went to the beach one day! We were lucky enough to be there during a heat wave and stayedin the water almost all day. We had some family visait us for the day and everyone had so much fun. the kids ages 1-9 kloved the raft ,slide, rowing to the islands, fishing and playing in the sand.
When we arrived at the house it was immaculate. The kitchen had eveything I needed to cook for family and even entertain. the location was perfect at the house you feel like youare in the middle of nowehere, quiet and lovely, but everything you need is only 10 mins away. Gloing out for dinner in Kennibunk or Wells only a 20 min ride. We watch alot of tv at home and it was honestly SO nice to have a break.
We truley had one of our best family vacations here. We will deffinately be back next year!

Scenic Lakefront Cottage; Clean

We vacationed at the cottage the last week of June and had a great time. The house looked exactly as it did in the pictures. Rooms were neat and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Also, the dressers were large enough to hold all of our belongings. In addition, the bedrooms had air conditioning as well as the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and all appliances worked well. The view from the large deck was the best part though...absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed eating our meals on the deck and even at the dining room table which also afforded a beautiful view from the glass sliders. There was a small, portable TV but no dish or cable service so we used our laptop to watch DVDs.

Kids will enjoy the slide on the floating raft (the newly installed boat ramp made access to the slide very easy). Even though we didn't use it, a rowboat was also available. There was plenty of outdoor chairs on the deck and beach area that we were able to use at night when we lit the fire pit (wood was provided!!). The road to the cottage is dirt and was in need of regrading at the time of our stay. However, this was addressed with the owner and I'm confident it was taken care of with priority.

We had a wonderful vacation at this cottage and would definitely love to return. We miss the beautiful sunsets from the deck already!!

We stayed here for Father's Day weekend for 3 nights and four days and it was wonderful! The bedrooms are good size, one bedroom has a metal twin bunkbed (apt size washer & dryer in this room too) but still spacious & a/c; other room has futon frame but with a regular queen size mattress that is very comfy, beautiful big dresser and roomy; 3rd bedroom off the other side of the living room is good size, queen size bed with firm mattress, very nice dresser & an a/c, living room has lots of space with a sony cd/radio, ceiling fan, futon "couch" that pulls out into another queen size sleeping area; diningroom table can sit many but we were always outside on the deck or in the water; kitchen has tons of dishes, cooking pans, blender, toaster oven, microwave, full size fridge & stove w/oven. There are 2 glass sliding doors out to the deck that make it really nice and lots of great views to see the lake. The deck is huge with a picnic table, grill, patio table w/umbrella and chairs. Beach area has sand and lounge chairs and a fire pit. There is a shallow sandy area for kids off the dock (steps down to dock are steep); our kids loved the slide and used it over & over! There are some noodles and boogey boards in the shed; loads of games in the cottage to play; and even books you can read and swap out one of yours for one of there's if you want. When we arrived the cottage was very clean and even had fresh flowers in a vase on the kitchen counter for us. We loved our stay there and hope to go back again next year or in the fall. Close to the ocean too; we spent one day at Wells Beach, also went to Kittery trading post and Yummies. Annalee is very nice and answered all our questions. The lake was fairly quiet which was nice. There is a few islands you can row to or we brought our kayaks and visited one of the islands and explored. We got gorgeous pictures of the sunset, it was amazing and really enjoyed spending the long weekend there with our kids & grand kids. I would recommend this cottage to friends to stay at.
