'The Trailview' sits high above the village of Allisonia in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with a gorgeous view overlooking the New River flowing north to form Claytor Lake. You can access the 57 mile long New River Bike Trail at the base of the driveway.

Enjoy the shade, view, and breeze on the long front porch. Large fully equipped kitchen and back deck too.

Location, view, best stocked house ever!

We stayed at the trailview to attend an open house at VT. The house was not too far away, but in a great location. The log cabin is located overlooking the river and the view and relaxing sounds from the river can't be beat. The house was wonderfully laid out, furnished and has to be the best stocked house we have ever rented. You can tell that Barbara really wants everyone to feel welcomed. Our dog was even welcome. We would love to rent this house again.

Always the Best!

We've stayed here many times and it will always be our favorite getaway place. The TrailView is always clean and ready when we come. It's quiet and just totally relaxing. Everything you need is provided except for the food. There's a washer and dryer. The beds are comfortable. Usually Teresa and I come up around the second week in October each year and stay for a week. We ride the trail and we bring our canoe to flyfish the New River for smallmouth bass. We've just reserved it for the second week in October 2013 as well. Can't wait to come back. We may take a three-day weekend trip up this spring or early summer.

Perfect Cabin in the Woods!

What a delightful weekend!! This 2-bedroom log cabin was wonderful. It was so clean we couldn't believe it. I seemed brand new to us. All the amenities of home. Wonderfully stocked kitchen with what seemed like brand new kitchenware and even a gas range (wow!) The front porch had a swing and rocker and was a slice of heaven. And it was literally across the street from the 57-mile New River Trail. One of the most scenic places we've visited in a long time. A fabulous retreat with our family to the woods. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend!

The property was just as described. Very clean and very comfortable. The owner was very helpful in providing information. The bike trail along the river and lake is beautiful.
