Photos and Description of the Island Park vacation cabin rental
4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4 Baths (Sleeps 8-12)

Greetings! Welcome to a slice of mountain paradise, a perfect choice for a small family reunion, fishing/hunting/snowmobile trip, corporate retreat, or simply a relaxing sightseeing vacation. Minutes from Yellowstone Park, this 3,400+ square foot cabin is located on a one acre wooded site and is the ideal location to capitalize your time and enjoy the outdoor bounty of the Yellowstone area.

Island Park sits in the world's largest caldera and your stay here is at it's centre which provides you boating, rafting, fishing, and RV activities right outside your door; the cabin is located 2 miles west of Highway 20 just off the Yale-Kilgore road on a private cul de sac drive, and just several hundred feet from Island Park reservoir, with easy boating access across the way in the public campground.

Details of the Home:

Inside, you will appreciate the rustic-mountain decor of the home. The entrance puts you on the main level of the cabin, and as you walk into the living/conversation room adjacent to the kitchen and dining areas, you pass by the laundry/mudroom and main level bath. The living room features a thermostat controlled rock fireplace and is a warm and cozy area to relax and enjoy an after-dinner conversation about the day's events.

Interior Details: The main floor vaulted master suite adjoins this level via a step-down landing with access to the hot tub outside under the covered deck and the entrance to the bedroom area. The bedroom features a king-sized bed, bed/couch, satellite TV which controls the stereo in both the master, as well as the outside speakers for the hot tub. French doors open into the spacious master bath revealing a large jetted tub, separate counter sinks and a large granite-tiled shower engraved with a lazered picture of Tower Falls in Yellowstone, and connected to a large cedar-lined walk-in closet.

Additional Interior Details: Walking upstairs, you will enter a hallway; turning left leads into the second master bedroom, turning right will immediately put you in the upstairs west bedroom with queen-sized bed. This room also stores all the games, puzzles, extra chairs, porta-crib, etc. in the large cedar lined closet. The two upper bedrooms are divided by a shared full bath, including jetted tub, double counter sinks, and separate shower. The upstairs master bedroom features an elevated king size posted pine bed as well as a fold out couch/bed and walk in closet.

The downstairs level enjoys a large entertainment/game room as well as a bedroom with adjoining bath; this bedroom consists of the two twin beds, is super quiet for those that like to sleep a little late. Walking downstairs, you will come into the game room area that sports a full size slate pool table.

Our stay at the cabin was awesome. The snow was incrediable for late in December. The cabin is very comfortable as we had 6 people staying. Very close to the snowmobile trails and very easy to locate as it is just off the main road. Hot tub right out the door from the master bedroom.

This is a great cabin to rent. We had 8 adults and everything was very comfortable. Cabin was very clean and easy to get too. We had a visit by a Moose and her baby while we were there! I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to anyone!

Week in Island Park

Island Park and the Yellowstone area is a wonderful place to visit and we hit the jackpot by renting this cabin. It was well decorated and situated for my family to really enjoy. Besides being secluded yet easy to get to, it was within walking distance of a beautiful river to fish and take the grandkids to. Just right around the corner from Island Park Reservoir and a quick hop to Henry's Lake. We fished in the morning and rode ATV's until sunset. I would highly recommend this cabin and the Island Park location if you are looking for a wonderful and relaxing place for your next vacation.

Great Get-Away spot

Just returned from a 4-day vacation in this wonderful cabin. The pictures and information were right on. It was very conveniently located and easy to find, but was very private and quiet. It was very roomy and we didn't feel like we were in everyone else's way. The bedrooms were large, and it was nice to have plenty of bathrooms/showers! The kitchen was very functional and adequate. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and sitting on the deck. The only down side would be that we didn't stay long enough. It also would have been nice to have a DVD player in the master bedroom so that there were two options for movies. I would definately consider renting this property again only for a longer period of time. Thanks again.

I just have to drop you a line and say thanks for the great stay we had in your home! Wow what a place! I loved the furnishings, the well appointed bedrooms with yummie beds and that kitchen... nice open floor plan so I could enjoy all while cooking. Wish I had those knives at my house! :) Even though I don't fish it was so close to Yellowstone park, hiking, and all that outdoor fun that it worked well for me. I have stayed in many VRBO homes and this one is by far the best! Thank you!

Best of the Vacation West

This impeccably clean and tastefully furnished place still resonates with my wife and our three children whenever I mention it. Every detail in this home speaks reverently of the love this couple shares for living in close proximity to natural wonders, including Yellowstone and the Henry's Fork. Although we cooked inside the well-furnished kitchen most nights—or out on the grill on the deck—we also found superb dining at Philips Lodge (ten minutes away) and at Henry's Fork Lodge (twenty minutes away). I've since gone back alone for a week without my family on at least two recent occasions to find good food at The Trout Hunter as well. Because of frequent visits, I've become friendly with the owners who have always gone miles out of their way to make my stays worry-free. I hope the original water colors and oil paintings by Russell Case are still on the walls when I return, as I intend to do soon. I noticed in signing the guest book that at least one Hollywood actor had discovered what I had: one of the most distinguished and comfortable hideouts in the West at a price even a fly-fishing school teacher can afford (from time to time). I woke up one morning in the master bedroom to a view of the Grand Tetons in the far distance. On another morning I passed the fireplace and looked out the window and across the deck to see a moose staring back at me. Views from other windows are all pleasant, not spectacular, but extraordinary. The garage is big enough for two full-sized pickups, and the parking area is also ample. The neighbors are seldom if ever home, and even when they are, I never see or hear them. My family and I have seriously talked about spending another vacation together here. The house has three separate floors and three bathrooms, so everyone is guaranteed plenty of privacy. It might be a little big for a two-person romantic adventure, but not really, not if you appreciate grace and space, as my wife and I do. I keep recommending the place to friends and relatives, but so far no one has ever taken up the opportunity, which is why I decided to write a review.
