The Garden Snuggery is a sunny pied-a-terre with views across the Valley of the Moon in the heart of Sonoma's wine country. French doors open onto a terrace overlooking a rambling garden of rosemary, lavender and roses surrounded by redwoods, oaks and fruit trees. A meandering pathway leads through an arbor of grape vines to a vegetable garden below. The Garden Snuggery has a separate entrance and patio on the terrace level of a wine country cottage. The Snuggery is uniquely appointed with one of a kind furnishings from afar including bed coverings from Provence, and antique tables and cabinetry from China, Mexico and England. The warm Mediterranean palate brings cheer and comfort to the garden suite which includes a private bath featuring an over-sized claw foot tub and a large walk-in closet with a mini fridge. You'll wake up in the morning to breathtaking views beyond the garden across the Valley of the Moon. In the afternoon, sip wine in Adirondack chairs as you watch the sun set behind Sonoma Mountain. Enjoy morning coffee at the table on your deck and watch the squirrels scamper in the Oaks above your garden retreat. Feel pampered in the double feather bed or in your bubble bath overlooking beautiful Sonoma Mountain where famous author, Jack London, lived and farmed his ranch in the early 1900's. Coffee and tea are provided for you to enjoy on the terrace, in the garden or within your romantic wine country snuggery.
Only 4 minutes by car or bicycle is the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn where restaurant and spa facilities await. The Sonoma Plaza with art, music, boutiques and restaurants is only 10 minutes drive. The Garden Snuggery is perfect for those who enjoy winery visits, hiking or biking as the cottage is in the Valley of the Moon, home to three state parks and countless wineries. Located between the Sonoma Plaza and the Sonoma Valley wineries, the Snuggery is an easy 10 minute taxi ride in either direction for those who do not wish to drink and drive.
Your Proprietress, formerly a Concierge at the nearby Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, is currently a Docent and Guide for Sonoma Hiking Adventures. She will happily arrange wining, dining & spa reservations and give you directions to the best places to hike and bike - or even guide you on the trails herself. She lives on site and will answer questions and ensure your wonderful wine country vacation.

I love the Sonoma wine country - enjoying walks and hikes in the vineyards and surrounding mountains. Having led nature walks for toddlers and their families for over 20 years, it was a natural for me to become a docent with the Valley of the Moon Natural History Assn. I now lead hikes for adults in the three state parks, both as a docent and as guide for Sonoma Hiking Adventures. For the past 3 1/2 years, I've worked part-time at the Concierge Desk at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn. I enjoy assisting guests with their wine country explorations and reservations. My goal with the Garden Snuggery is to provide a relaxing and fun retreat for my guests who will return time and again due to their fond memories of the Garden Snuggery and the beautiful Valley of the Moon.
I chose to buy my home in Sonoma because of the beauty of the mountains and vineyards that surround my relaxing garden retreat. I love to hike and mountain trails surround my cottage. Between the wildflowers in the parks and the ever changing colors in the vineyards, the Valley of the Moon is a painter's paradise and a naturalist's dream come true. The hillside location is a part of history where travelers from the city have always come to rejuvenate. Not only is the world famous Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn a nearby view down the mountain from my windows, but, also, wineries have planted their vineyards and built their tasting rooms in this valley - due to the perfect climate for growing grapes coupled with breathtaking natural surroundings, perfect for attracting wine enthusiasts.
The main thing that sold me on my property is the garden and its views across the Valley of the Moon.
