We have raised our children here on the shore of the river. It has always been full of excitement and adventure. The river has provided us with kayaking, tubing, and other great water fun.
We have also hosted exceptional parties including our daughter and son-in-law's wedding! Each year we hold The Carlstrom Jamboree in which family members come for a weekend of camping and fun.
The gazebo has become our favorite spot to entertain or just wind-down from our busy day. We feel it an honor to share our place in the country with others. We look forward to meeting and talking with new people along their travels.
Tom and I fell in love with this old house in 1978 and only dreamed to one day own it. The opportunity arose and we jumped on it! It took many years to renovate, (it was built in 1794, this isNOT A TYPO!). and at last our dream came true. The apartment in which you will stay, was home of my mother in her final years. This home is full of happiness and history that we will be honored to share!
You will be surrounded by tranquility and grace. The river revives and exhilarates you. Although the apartment is adjacent to our home, you are provided with the privacy
