Photos and Description of the Sequim vacation house rental
3 bdrms(mstr ste), 2 full bth, 1 powder, sleeps 11, great rm + family rm, 2 frpl

This lovely year round home is just a few hours drive and a short ferry ride from Seattle. Located in the sunbelt of the Washington State Peninsula, on the Straits of Juan De Fuca on a long strip of sandy beach, natural beauty abounds. The views from the front and back side of the home are spectacular and include the Olympic Mountain Range, wetlands with many rare species of birds, the Straits of Juan De Fuca, Dungeness Spit and Lighthouse with Victoria B.C. in the distance, Mount Baker, the San Juan Islands and Whidbey Island.

There are many options for great walks and bike rides, as well as kayaking and hiking in the area.

The beach house is a year round pleasure as well. Summers speak for themselves, but imagine winter storms in the great room, waves crashing outside! A crackling fire in the fireplace. Winter walks on a windy day.The home offers several great places to curl up and read a book or play a game, and holidays are especially memorable in this setting!

Great Room Plus: Having both a family room and great room, with pocket doors that can be closed for privacy, allows the home to accommodate large parties. It also offers a feeling of intimacy for smaller parties. The family room and eating space have excellent views, and they connect well with the kitchen to for easy conversation between the spaces. The home was architecturally designed for flexibility, so it feels gracious and intimate at the same time.

Views and Beach: With 200 feet of sandy beach front, the views are amazing, and from almost every room. You can see four light houses and Victoria B.C. in the distance at night. Your day view is 360 degrees. It includes the Olympic Mountain Range as a back drop to the wetlands on one side, and the Straits of Juan De Fuca, the Dungeness Spit and Lighthouse, Mt. Baker, Whidbey Island, and miles of beach on the other. Bald Eagles 'hang out' in number (we've counted up to 17 together at one time) on the beach at low tide. The home includes two large decks. The front deck is a great place to sit and view the mountains and soak up the afternoon sun, and the back deck overlooks the beach.

Perfect Beach House

We loved staying here. The house was perfect in every way and exactly as shown in the photos. The setting is beyond compare. It was very peaceful and serene, we walked the beach every day, saw so many birds and sea lions, cruise ships and barges. We had a kind of family reunion one night with all 4 of our grown kids and their respective families and had plenty of room for everyone. The owners were very accommodating and we highly recommend this home (as long as it doesn't conflict with our next trip :)!

The house was very clean and so well stocked, we didn't have to struggle for anything. It is convenient to all of Sequim, we also went to Lake Crescent for an afternoon lunch and hiking some waterfalls, another day we went into the Olympic Mountains for an afternoon hike. 3 Crabs Restaurant is just about 1/4 mile away and we also highly recommend Alder Wood Bistro and the Dockside Grill at John Wayne Marina.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The house is pretty much perfect and was in excellent order when we arrived. What a beautiful location! We also appreciated the fantastic design/layout of the house itself. We were surprised at how different the beach view was each morning---some mornings were foggy, some were clear, and the tide seemed to vary, too. The abundant bird wildlife was interesting to watch. The ocean-front deck running the length of the house is definitely a plus, especially given the nice deck furniture and gas grill (and wireless internet that works outside, too). We'd definitely rent this property again. Our thanks to the owners for being so pleasant to work with and for providing such a great vacation spot.

Sunny Days

What a great beach house! It is great to find a house that is this nice and people who understand that people like us take our dogs on vacation with us. Lots of room for everyone to enjoy themselves and a nice kitchen area for eating breakfast and watching the wildlife out the big windows. We counted over 30 skylights! The pictures on the website don't do it justice. Sunny days for 5 days straight, alittle disappointed we didn't get a chance to have a fire in the living room fireplace, it stayed to nice.

Nice quite street for walking and nice neighbors. There is also a great off leash dog park in Sequim that everyone goes to, our dogs had a great vacation as well.

The owners are great to work with and answered all of my questions. And I had many, we are looking forward to going back next spring.

Dreamy Sequim Beach House

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely Sequim beach house. It's situated right on the beach, with amazing views of the ocean from every room. The living room view is especially spectacular; huge windows overlooking the ocean with a big fireplace roaring? What a treat! I enjoyed hanging out on the deck the most, so relaxing with the beach literally steps away. Fun for watching wildlife too, we saw 2 bald eagles one morning, and got a detailed view of them, thanks to the house's telescope.

This is very clean, beautiful, spacious house. The floor plan is really nice, which is wonderful for larger groups. It has all amenities and then some. I plan on coming back and would recommend it to anyone interested in staying in Sequim. I can't imagine a nicer beach house.

We rented this house for 4 nights in early August. Everything was in great order, the house and grounds are very well maintained, and the kitchen was well-stocked. This house is perfect for 2 families, with a big master, a second bedroom, and a great bunk room for up to 8 kids. There are also 2.5 baths.

The house is right on the water, and the huge windows make for great views of the Straight and Spit in back, and Olympics in front. You can watch seals playing while you eat breakfast.

The house has lots of room to spread out, and it is comfortably and tastefully decorated, although we couldn't get the kids off the huge back deck and beach.

There were several TVs, but we never turned one on opting instead to just enjoy the views. The kids also liked the telescope for watching wildlife, the lighthouse and shipping traffic. We did take advantage of the house's secured wireless network. It was easy to set up with the access code listed on the side of the fridge.

The house is about a 10 minute drive from Sequim with a few restaurants, coffee shops and a Safeway. The entrance to the Spit park entrance is also about 10 minutes away. Lavender and berry farms are 5 minutes. It is a perfect base for day trips to Olympic National Park, Port Angeles and Victoria, BC, and Port Townsend.

I would definitely plan to stay here again if I am back in the area.

Sequim Vacation

We stayed at this property for one week beginning July 22, 2010. This place is amazing!! The house was built with the view in mind, and the ocean and/or mountain views are spectular from every room, especially the living room. When the tide is in, you feel so close to the water that it seems like you could be in the front of a cruise ship. The house has all the amenities, and much more then you usually get it kitchen supplies, etc. I would venture to say that this is probably the best ocean front property for the money in Sequim, and I would wholheartedly recommend this as a great place to stay for anyone. We hope to be back in the near future.
