We currently reside in Idaho Falls, ID - although would like to spend more time in our house in Costa Rica. Jobs don't allow for that now, we must wait. Hopefully, we will be able to retire to this paradise in the coming years. My wife, Shari, is a nurse. I'm Robert, a small business owner and part-time accountant. We both enjoy the active lifestyle that Costa Rica affords from the volcanoes to the great beaches!
We've always wanted a place next to the ocean and beach as having lived in landlocked states in the US. Bejuco is a great location. Small, friendly, safe and, in many ways, like the US 50 years ago. Bejuco is paradise to us. The beach is never crowded and palm trees almost up to the water. It is a surfer's dream. We liked the small subdivision with only about 40 homes and the 24 hour guarded gate entrance. A small store is close as are a few restaurants. Convenience without the larger cities, yet nearby Jaco is a close drive. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the beach and we usually have the beach to ourselves.
We like the friendly neighbors, the safety and security of a 24 hour gated community. The community pool is always refreshing and we usually have it to ourselves. The complete kitchen allows you to cook all the meals you want and the nearby restaurants to also visit. The washer and dryer allows you to wash your clothes, so minimize the clothes to bring. A lush backyard enables you to view the parrots and monkeys that live and frequent the area.
