My wife and I stayed at the guest house with our two dogs. The house worked out nicely for us. The house was very clean a decently appointed with a coffee maker, grinder, toaster, blender, nice gas stove and dishwasher. With the windows opened at nigh,t the bed was comfortable enough and cozy with the nice linens. The master bath follwed suit, very clean with plenty of nice towels. A nice side yard to relax with the dogs, throwing the ball. A older, but clean and usable hot tub was a nice start to the morning with a cup of java. There were folks at the main house but neither party ever met or were heard from during our stay, with a friendly wave from the shared drive. We liked the location as a stand alone property between Hailey and Ketchum, providing for easy access to Greenhorn Gulch ( a popular mtn bike and hiking spot), the Sun Valley Brewery and CK's (4-star, must go) in Hailey, and then everything in popular Ketchum and beyond. The road noise is basically non-existant to this SLC resident.
The not so good, is a short list. If you're looking for a entertainment electronics, bring your own. There's a basic TV and DVD player with Dish network. No receiver or tuner for a Ipod input ( I travel with a input cable). There was a set of speakers but I didn't mess with them. The other was the lack of kitchen condiments, salt and pepper, and a few coffee filters were supplied. We bought what we needed, oil, paper towels, filters, mustard, seasonings, and packed them up when we left, since we drove. The outdoor grill worked fine, although the iron grill grate was rusted from lack of use, which we covered with aluminum foil, no problems.
Overall, a great private spot for a couple traveling with dogs, and / or a kid or two. (there is another bedroom with two twin beds), with a nice vacation feel setting. We'll keep this VRBO saved for future visits. Thank you to the owner and local contact person! Cheers!
