we loved our stay and the view of the eiffel tower!!! some tips i think you should include in your guide/notebook info sheet..
~how the heat works..in the states we do not use a remote for the air. it is almost always on the wall as a unit!!!! it took me awhile to figure that one out
~bus stops and subway stops for the most popular sights. i asked how the easiest way to get to the eiffel and the reply was.."i look at it every day, i do not need to go there!!" that is probably the most important monument people come for. i can figure it out since i have been to paris many times, but, for the ones who have never been there...it may seem tricky!!
~i loved that we could walk to sacre coeur..it is sooo beautiful and the view of the city is spectacular!!!
~the grocery store and bakery were perfect for us to pick up quick items and items for breakfast
~i cannot believe how much is in the tiny kitchen..i have never seen such a small dish washer even though we never used it!!!
~sadly, the coffee maker did not work but i grabbed coffee at the bakery.
~it is the perfect size apt for one or two and easy access to alot of things. i loved that we had wifi to check in for our flights and to read emails.
~we would defintely return and stay again!!!!!!
Owner's Response: I do not know who told you that since they live there they do not need to visit the Eiffel Tower, but I guess this the case for most people who live in a city. They take touristic sites for granted.

I wish you had called me or e-mailed me and asked me both about the heating and the easiest way to get to the Eiffel Tower (actually buses, just outside the apartment, No 30 takes you directly to Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower, and No 67 to the Louvre, the Seine and Hotel de Ville, just a bridge away from the Notre Dame and the Ile de la Cite. But I presume that people who come to Paris have their guides with them and find all this information. I also wish you had told me about the coffee machine. I would have made sure it was fixed asap.

Glad you liked the apartment and enjoyed your stay though.

I travel to Paris quite a bit for work and always dreamed of renting an apartment. When I decided to take my daughter for her birthday this was a a chance for her dream as well as mine. From the beginning I felt safe booking with Gala. she responded quickly and always emailed me when I had questions. The apartment was perfect for two. Easy metro access and bus to all attractions, bakery right downstairs, two grocery stores within a block. Tons of quaint shops and restaurants and walking distance to Sacre Couer. We thourghly enjoyed coming back to our little apartment after a busy day. Not to mention seeing the Eefil tower twinkle just before turning in. I will definately return and have already reccommened to a friend who has already stayed there. If you are looking for a little less touristy and want to feel like a local you can't beat it!

I am so happy to have stayed here on our trip to Paris. It is a totally different experience than staying at a hotel. You feel like a parisian !!
The apartment is perfectly located 10 steps from the Pigalle metro in the heart of Montmartre. It was clean, cosy and very well kept. The host was very helpful with directions and tips about Paris, and even though we got to Paris at 1am they were friendly and waiting for us.
I will definitely stay here if I ever go to Paris again.
Thanks Gala !

We enjoyed our week long stay very much. The building is charming with a convenient location to Montmartre and the subway, many attractions, many restaurants, grocery stores, wonderful bakeries just downstairs, shops, etc. The view is outstanding and it is fun to watch people in Pigalle. The area is busy 24 hours, but the apartment had windows and shades that blocked out excessive noise and light. The apartment had what we needed including an elevator and a washing machine. The view from the small balcony was excellent - my husband had hoped that we could sit out there but there is only room to stand. The air conditioner worked well and was appreciated. The bed was reasonably comfortable (it appears to be a reinforced sofa bed but it cannot be retracted). Our deposit was returned quickly. Yes it is small but just as pictured on VRBO with personal touches and plants. The size is what you should expect in Paris. If I could have, I would have rated it very good or 4 1/2 stars. The minor subtraction is for the bed, and a couple more towels/sheets would be nice. The owner communicated very well when making the reservation and was helpful. I would recommend it. Thanks to Galatea.

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for our 2 week honeymoon in Paris. This apartment was perfect for us. Right across the street from the metro, near great restaurants, and an unbeatable view. It's true that it's a small place but it was very comfortable. Every morning we would walk around the corner and up the street for the most incredible pain au chocolat that we still dream about. And every night we would have a glass of wine on the balcony. Does it get any better than that? Also, Galatea was SO nice and helpful when we arrived exhausted from our long red-eye flight. She showed us how everything worked and gave us great pointers (like how to get the NaviGo). I highly recommend this apartment!

After driving around France for 5 weeks we fell into Paris for a week in one spot - and what a spot. The view from the balcony is to die for - the photos I took of the Tour d'Eiffel are on my screensaver at work! The rooms are typicaly tiny but are all you need. We walked everywhere arond Montmartre falling into cafes and galleries and on other days the Metro across the road took into central Paris for all the icons. We took in an organ recital at the Madeleine church near Place De Concorde - a highlight.
There are just so many places to eat in Montmartre even if the recomended ones are full or closed - just keep walking and you'll find a great little cafe. We just loved trying our appaling french to talk to people on the tables next to us .
The little apartment complete with its lift and security system and adjacent pâtissière was a grand conclusion to our 6 weeks in France

A lovely apartment with great views, a great 3 day stay. The apartment is close to the metro, with cafes, restaurants and a grocery store and is very clean. Although our first night became a bit of a confusion as to when we were to arrive the owner and neighbours did their very best to help us and make us feel welcome and comfortable. I would recommend this.

Thankyou

Best Place to Stay in Paris!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time staying here during our time in Paris. The view of the Tower at night is Magnifique! It's directly across from the Pigalle Station which was lovely as we only took a cab once in our 10 day stay. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need and how lovely to be able to do your own laundry. ONLY downside The pullout bed was horrible so we just took the mattress off and put it on the floor and then put the cushions back on the sofa. The mattress was fine as long as it was not in the pull out. I think it's broken or damaged. Either way, we really didn't care as we had just a lovely time and were paying a great deal less than a hotel. We even strolled down and caught a show at Moulin Rouge one night, I was totally surprised by how impressive and wonderful the show was. Eat at Chez Coinette right around the corner, Wonderful food. Many Thanks.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in May. On arrival we were greeted by two very friendly neighbours who welcomed us and showed us around the apartment. We looked out the window and were stunned by the view - the eiffel tower sparkling with light. The apartment had all we needed and more, guide books, maps, comfy bed and fold out single bed (we used both as we are both tall!) Desk, Wifi, phone, TV, DVDs, CDs. We used the Carre Four Supermarket to get everything we needed and enjoyed lazt hazy nights in the back street bistros of Montemarte. Metro at your front door, Moulin Rouge about 4 mins walk out your front door and Sacre Cour a 10 min walk up the winding streets of beautiful Monemarte. Why oh why would you pay more money to sit in a miserable hotel room when you can escape the tourist trap and live like a local in this stunning location.
