Wonderful Stay with Plenty of Space
We just returned from a week-long vacation in Tulum and stayed in this villa at Primer Amor. The location is great. Although you have to drive to town (just a short two-minutes), there is plenty of free and easy to find parking all along 307.
The villa is large and modern, filled with beautiful Mexican decorations, and fully furnished from beach towels to a blender for margaritas and a washer and dryer. It's very spacious - the main level has a large eat-in kitchen and family room/dining area. The second floor has two bedrooms and two baths and then there is a third floor that is open to the outdoors and unfurnished. There is a lot of outside, private space too.
We felt VERY safe. The complex is walled and accessible only by key. Parking on-site is very easy too.
We really enjoyed the pool. It's a good size, gets nice sun but also has a large palapa with tables, chairs, and a bar, if you want to get out of the sun and make your own drinks. Often, we were the only ones at the pool so it was quite the oasis!
Tulum hands down is one of the best kept secrets in all of Mexico. You get a little of everything - safety, wonderful restaurants, beautiful beaches and cenotes for snorkling, history with the ruins, monkey reserves, and more.

Tulum Villa ...
I just returned from Tulum with my Niece, we stayed in this Villa and could not have been more happy with our lodging. This Villa is at the southern end of the main part of Tulum, which was not an issue for us as as we had a rental car. Even if coming by bus from Cancun, there are many taxi's that can help get you to and fro and the location of the Villa is not so far that you couldn't even walk to the city center if you felt so inclined.
The owners Kelly & Laurie are very nice people and it was easy and a pleasure to work with them. They have local property managers that were very helpful in giving us tips on places to go and also directions for the places we had already decided we wanted to go. Having their knowledge of local things was very helpful and very much appreciated.
The Villa seemed practically brand new and was a great place to come back to between our time at the ocean/beach and our other outings. We cooked our own breakfast and dinner on most days and went out to lunch. The kitchen was stocked with most of the essentials you would need for meal preparation. We also made use of the washer and dryer while there which made it easier for us to pack light, knowing we could do laundry there.
The Villa was very clean and we were instantly at ease and comfortable from our long day of travel. Fans & air conditioners kept us cool, although it was mostly the fans we used and not the ac. Plenty of hot water when we were taking showers. This is a well kept - maintained Villa and we enjoyed being there and having it as our base while in Tulum. There is a beautiful pool at the Villa's, although we never went in it, choosing to spend our time in the warm ocean instead. This is a perfect place for families or friends traveling together. If you are considering booking this Villa, I can say from my personal experience from the booking process, actual stay, to return of safety deposit ... everything was nice and easy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering a stay in Tulum.
