You are always concerned that sometimes vacation homes can look better on the Internet than they do in person. Coming from cold Chicago and booking it through the Internet, I was a little worried, but as soon as I arrived I was so pleasantly surprised. The location, layout and amenities were much better than described. My children had the greatest time going between the beautiful large beach and the heated pool. The house was beautifully and tastefully decorated, very clean, and with great televisions. The worst part was that the week went by so quickly!!! The owner was extremely attentive and so nice too. I highly recommend this for a great, memorable, and fun family vacation.

I never write reviews but after our family trip to Ft Myers Beach and the great beachfront home I had to write one. The pictures of the house really don't show how beautiful it really is, and the view at sunset is absolutely perfect. The owner was so nice, providing an unexpected welcome gift and valuable local information. I have already booked my return vacation for next year. I highly recommend this house.

Our Family Holiday

We were looking for a beachfront place to stay for our family of seven, which includes my husband and I, our two oldest children and their spouses and our youngest son. We found beachfront bliss and read the reviews, and knew in July that was where we wanted to spend our extended Christmas holiday. I contacted the owner by email and she responded that in order for us to rent it we had to overnight the first half of the money right away, a 20.00 extra expense. We could not use our visa card. It says on homeaway that you can. The contract also said that the keys will be mailed a week prior to our stay. The morning we were to leave, we still had no keys. The keys arrived 2 days after we left. If it werent for our son-in-law flying down 3 days later we would have had another expense in mailing the owner back her keys.
When we arrived the pool heater was broken, so we couldnt use the pool for the first 4 days of our stay. Both of the bike tires were flat, so they were unusable until Thursday, which we only had one more day there after they were fixed.
The bed in the cottage was so loud and squeaky. The cottage hasnt been renovated.
The grill on deck was great but you had to either get your own gas tank or charcoal...no wood for the firepit either. Just some small things that would have made it easier, would have been nice, especially since you pay so much for the place.
Overall the house worked well for our family. We loved the beachfront location.

Owner's Response: First off I am sorry that you had the problem with they keys. I am not sure why the post office was slow when we paid for overnight shipping. I think the holidays had them overwhelmed. I did however speak with you several times both on the phone directly and on the internet regarding this issue and I assured you I would be there to greet you as well as my housekeeping staff as I allowed you an early check in. The reason for overnight payment was your choice. I explained that there were several people interested in that Christmas week and I do not reserve the house until I have payment. Since you said you really wanted the house, I offered that as a solution. All money is processed through my rental company so it can get complicated. I wanted to be sure you got the house. I was aware on Saturday the pool heater was not working. It was fixed Monday and the temperature was to 83 degrees within 1 day. I am sorry about the tires on the bicycles however we have purchased a new bike and both are working. Our rental company has not recommended any home provide bicycles as they can be a problem. However we though it would be a nice amenity. We purchased a gas grill this year for our tenants however it is their responsibility to fill the gas which is easily done as well as purchase charcoal. I do supply many items homeowners do not which you did not mention. I do not supply firewood either. This is a house in move in condition, perfectly cleaned but we do not provide those services as a hotel would. We were not aware of the squeaky bed and are having a new one replaced this week. It is upsetting for me to have such a review however I feel we handled each situation to make it an enjoyable stay.

everything was as we hoped it would be. a wonderful view of the gulf when you walk in the door. the pool was a nice change from the sandy beach, close to the house and the low end was fun for our three year old grand daughter. the house was clean, pretty and well equiped. we were six adults and two children. plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable.. we were close to a publix and a few bars and restaurants. we like the junkaroo., on the beach and good food and drinks. deposit came back in a reasonable time. we would rent again. thanks for sharing your house.....

We ABSOLUTELY loved your beach house. It is such a PERFECT place to spend time at the beach. When we walked in it was just as we had imagined it would be from your website pictures. The wall of windows looking out to the Gulf was fabulous. But it was more than that. The beds were so comfortable. There was space for all of our family. We ABSOLUTELY LOVED the pool. We used it in between the raindrops during our first four days there......thanks to Hurricane Debby!! Being in the open living space with all the windows overlooking the Gulf was just SO PERFECT. Your choice of decorating was so calming and restful. We appreciated having a washer and dryer available for use. Thanks too for the beach towels and the outside chairs. The deck was such a special place. .....morning coffee, 4:30 reading with a glass of wine in the shade of the palm trees,waiting for dinner to be grilled, chatting at night in the moonlit night We appreciated the wine, biscotti and soaps you left for our enjoyment. Thank you again for such a perfect spot for us to enjoy a family vacation.

We just want you to know how much we loved your beach house. It is such a PERFECT place to spend time at the beach. Amazing property. We could not imagine anything better. The pool and deck are immaculate with meticulous landscaping. You are literally steps from the powdery white sand beach. With such great views of the beach and the sunsets it was more fun to dine in than to go out - Publix is about two minutes away. There is no retail on the island but 5th Avenue South in Naples is only 10 minutes down the road with countless unique shops, boutiques and restaurants. This property is well cared for - please follow suit if you stay here.

We spent a week here with our 5 year old, 2 year old twins and my parents. It was absolutely perfect. My parents stayed in the guest cottage, but spent most of their time in the main house with us. The kids spent hours playing in the sand or in the private pool. The house was clean, bright, relatively safe for toddlers and the view of the sunset at night was breath taking. The grocery store was nearby and so we bought a bunch of food and we only ate out twice the entire week. There was no reason to leave! It was the vacation we were looking for in every way. We will surely be back!

Perfect Setting for a Perfect Vacation

This Beachfront Home was the perfect setting for our perfect Spring Break. The home offered every possible amenity to allow for immediate enjoyment. This property offered plenty of sleeping possibilities with four private bedrooms and two baths in the home and a bonus Guest Cottage with king bed, kitchenette and bath.
The setting offered the best of both worlds. For the beach lovers the beautiful Ft Myers Beach sand was just steps away from the front deck and for those pool lovers the warm clear water was just steps from the back door. Also, we could choose to eat out at the many fine restaurants or bring home groceries to prepare a private home cooked meal.
As for the Sunsets? Heaven! This home allowed for casual sunset enjoyment and for the night lovers the stars were soon to show off their brilliance.
We enjoyed the location of this home as we could head south for a quick trip to Naples or north to Sanibel.
So much to do with so little time...we have to return to enjoy this Beautiful Home which is the perfect setting for a perfect vacation.
