Our property is unique as their are no visible neighbors on either side due to long stretches of trees. We have a newer (2005) 1,450 sq foot 3 bedroom and 2 full bathroom home on a half acre flat piece of land with 2 RV sites so friends can join you with their own Trailer or RV's. The RV sites are flat with 30 amp power, fresh water and sewer hook ups. There is also a boat/RV wash station. We have a very large deck with a fire pit off to one side.
There is plenty of room for the kids to roam and we are directly across the road from the Lake. There is a private buoy moored just off the public dock so there is no need to pull your boats at the end of a busy day on the lake.

We have been vacationing in the Shuwap area for the last seven years and have found the Blind Bay area to be the nicest part of the lake. The Lake is generally very calm in this part so it is suitable for swimming and boating activities and it is close to all amenities so lots of pre-planning with kids is not necessary. If you forgot it chances are you can replace it within minutes!
We love the Shuswap area and in particular Blind Bay. It is easy to travel to from either Vancouver or Calgary as it is just minutes off the trans Canada highway. There is a convenient grocery store and restaurant within walking distance. The lake is spectacular for boating and fishing. It is never very busy and the summer days are long and sunny.
This is a fantastic place to rent with friends. The house is new with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. There is plenty of space to enjoy time together. It is well suited for kids with the public dock directly across the street and a fenced yard they are always within eye sight even if you are relaxing on the deck with a drink. There are also plenty of trails if dirt biking or mountain biking are of interest in addition to the many water sport activities. There are also hiking trails directly off the back of the property.
