Awesome Mountain Cabin

This was an excellent stay for my family, 4 adults early 30s a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old. Clean and well kept, you could tell this was a vacation home for the owners family and they took exceptional care of all aspects of the home. I actually felt like we had a private tour guide at times with all of the questions that I sent the owner. She never hesitated to respond to any of my questions. The home and setting are beautiful. We did do some traveling throughout the area but by far our favorite days were the ones when we just decided to enjoy the immediate surroundings of Graywolf. Felt like this home was our own for the entire week. Admittedly we were not as impressed with the activities in the area. We should have listened to the many people telling us "You don't come here to DO anything". And I'm saying that in the most positive way. Would certainly return for another visit as long as it meant we weren't leaving the house the entire time!
Owner's Response: We’re so glad you enjoyed yourselves! Beverly & I were very pleased to hear that you appreciated our personal touch in your stay as well. As you say, it is our vacation home as well, so we do all we can to make sure it is well appointed and first rate. It’s very gratifying to hear from happy guests and to hear that you’d like to return as well. The majority of our guests are repeat visitors and we like it that way.
As to “Things To Do”, we do have a great many exciting activities in the area. Boone is a lively college town that caters to the vibrancy of youth with entertainment, shopping, great restaurants, bars and theater. There is whitewater rafting, gem mining and Tweetsie Railroad for the kids. There are tons of cool places to visit around every corner, not to mention the Blue Ridge Parkway with our mountains, hiking, Julian Price Lake and Moses Cone Estate Parks. Blowing Rock features the major attraction for which it was named as well as exceptional shopping and truly fine restraints as well. Don’t forget beautiful Linville Falls and the Linn Cove Viaduct. The list goes on.
We hope you can make it back soon. Each season is uniquely beautiful. Thanks again for your comments. Whether you want to come back for some great outdoors fun, a little culture or just to lay back in the front porch swing and chill, we’re happy to have you.
Thanks again. John & Beverly Graywolf Cabin
