This was our first visit to Sanibel. This house is perfect for family, we had 4 kids and never had to worry about a thing. It's a safe neighborhood, the perfect distance from where we wanted to be, without paying the beachfront prices.

I love being in a house that feels immediately like home, and where I don't have to follow my children around, fearing what they might touch. When I did want to pass along some information to the homeowner, she responded immediately. We had just about everything we needed, kitchen appointments, beach towels and toys, bikes, games...what ever we needed was available at the local grocery/general stores, and really, that amounted to a few spices because I love to cook.

The washer and dryer are in an area separate from the main living space, which is a bit inconvenient, however, we didn't have to listen to the machines running, and I love that. A good on-site laundry is important to me, as I travel with minimal clothing and count on being able to run it all through quickly.

There are doors to outside decks from every room in this house, and the yard is just the perfect tropical backdrop for that morning cup of coffee. The neighboring houses are close, but out of sight, and the sideyard is absolutely beautiful. We had egrets and cranes sitting in the trees welcoming us as we came in, and really enjoyed seeing all the fun shells others have placed around the property.

What a fun vacation of shelling, dining, beach walking....I've been going to Fla for the last 22 years and saw several things on this trip I had never seen, including live Conch easily over 1 1/2 feet!

We will be returning again, at least annually to this home full of calming energy.

We've been going down to Sanibel Island to vacation for the past several years. This happens to be one of the best houses we've ever stayed in! Very spacious, good location, had everything we needed- it was pretty much perfect for us! Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Beth (the owner) was a huge help - she was always available with prompt and clear communication. Can't wait to come back!!!

If you are looking for a great vacation spot you can’t ask for better than this. We love this place. First off, when we got there the place was impeccably clean, which is the first thing we look for. And it is located in a safe area so we were instantly comfortable with it. The house is tremendous and perfect regardless of whether you plan to stay a week or a month. Excellent island atmosphere with all of the amenities you could need. You walk into a large open area with ceiling fans spinning and relaxing tropical décor. The island vibe hits you the moment you walk in the door. There are three bedrooms, all with access to a balcony or the large deck. I had coffee on the deck under the spinning fan almost every morning. Plus a loft if you have kids. The full kitchen has everything you need to cook and dine in if you want to and it sits next to a large dining table. I can imagine if you have kids or a large group you could save a ton of money by stocking the refrigerator and cooking for yourself. If you want to stay in there are books and games for the kids and a large TV with lots of dvd’s. But this is Sanibel so when you want to be out and about the house is located very conveniently to the main areas of the island. The bike path is only a block away and the supermarket is 2 blocks away. All the Island restaurants and shops are within about a half mile. And there are even two bikes included with the house that we used every day. It’s all flat so it’s a pleasant easy trip regardless where you go. When we went out to dinner in the evening we just biked to the Restaurants (I recommend the Island Cow). We did take the car to the beach to haul the umbrellas and chairs and noodles and other beach toys and stuff that also come with the house. And when we brought home the large bag of shells we found there was a big book of Shells so we could check out our haul. One of the best parts of the house is that whatever you want to do it’s there and included with the rental. Seriously, we didn’t need to bring anything but ourselves and our clothes and for folks like us with busy schedules and little free time this is exactly what we want and need. We had an excellent stay and an excellent vacation and we can’t wait to come back next year.

The other reviewers have done a terrific job describing this wonderful home-away-from-home, and we agree wholeheartedly. And if you are looking for some cool, beachy decor, this is the place! Wonderful vintage pictures, musical instruments, glass vases in the kitchen -- everything is warm and inviting!

But the BEST part for us -- aside from the overall cleanliness, privacy, and proximity to beaches -- is that EVERYTHING is here for individuals AND families. You only have to pack a suit and flip flops! For the beach: 4-6 beach chairs, three umbrellas, a cooler, a stroller-type thing that folds so you don't have to make a couple of trips with all of your stuff, a boogie board, noodles, sand toys, a guide to shells ... need I say more? For busy people like us who barely had time to feed the pets before we got on a plane, this was pure heaven for us.

Inside the house there is a washer/dryer, hair dryer, towels, lots of great earthenware, bowls for big salads, a microwave, a coffeemaker and espresso/cappuccino maker (yay!), bicycles, games galore, movies of all kinds (we saw "The Hours" and "Monsters Inc", to name a few), maps, etc. We cooked at home every night -- Jerry's market is within bicycling distance -- so we saved a ton of money and didn't have to fight the crowds. The house is so inviting and spacious, that after a long day at the beach, we just wanted to chill at home.

It is super close to everything -- you could even bike to the beach if you wanted to. It is perfectly situated in the middle of the island. And if you've never been to Sanibel ... well, National Geographic named it as one of the top 10 beaches in the world.

We are planning our next trip in another month, that's how much we loved it. We decided that this is going to be our regular yearly vacation -- so you'd better book ASAP before we end up living here year-round!

When you picture where you want to spend your vacation time in Sanibel, picture yourself here. This is a newly updated and very well maintained property on a private street. There are no loud parties to contend with or high traffic areas. The house is equipped with every modern convenience (cappuccino machine!), is tastefully decorated, and is situated in the heart of the island minutes from the beach, local restaurants and sights. The bedrooms are ample size and come in all flavors: king, twin, bunks, private apartment, and the outside areas equipped with a grill, deck chairs, tables etc. There are quiet nooks inside and outside the house, which are perfect places to read a book or magazine or listen to music. Each morning was started with a jog or walk on one of many trails, the weather was stunning and the beaches clean and well maintained. I can't say enough about how satisfied and rejuvenated I was during my stay and can only wait to get back again soon. A great home in a great setting.

We arrived at the property and I immediately fell in love with the driveway filled with shells, lovely blue house and colorful front door! When I walked in I was completely awed by this house. Beautifully decorated, gorgeous furniture and unbelievably spacious. We immediately toured the house and one room was cuter than the next. The home had a beachy feel with a totally modern touch. This home has all of the amenities you could ask for in a beach house.... appliances, utensils, beach toys, towels, books, dvd player, games, radios....I could go on and on. We chose a beach to go to everyday that was less than a mile away. It was so nice to come back after a day at the beach and unwind in this beautiful and cozy home before we went out for the evening. The neighborhood is safe and quite serene. I enjoyed sitting out on the back deck glider to read when we got back in the evening. We do not have children but this house would be awesome for kids as well as there are bedrooms set up specifically with kids in mind that have bunk beds, kids books, games, etc. The upstairs loft would also be a fun place for kids as well.

I was so sad the day we had to leave......I can honestly say this was one of, if not the most, amazing vacations I have been on and this home had so much to do with it. I cannot wait to go back and stay there. I was so comfortable and felt right at home in this gorgeous beach house. A+ and highly recommended! Enjoy!
