Best Place to Stay on Pokegama

This is the place to stay if you're coming to Pokegama. We've been up here many times and each time we are awed by the view of the lake. As others have said the level lake shore is a huge plus, as we had little children and senior citizens in our group. Even with the flood of the century the water was clear and had gone down quite a bit from when we arrived. Our family loves fishing and watersports so it was great to have kayaks, the RAVE and a pontoon boat (we rented from the owner) at our disposal.
You couldn't ask for better property owners, they are always upgrading the properties. In this cabin there was new furniture and flooring from the last time we were here. In cabin 3 (VRBO #301888) they remodeled and changed the porch into a living room with all new furniture and a view to die for. In cabin 2 (VRBO #352786) they remodeled the kitchen and living room. I can't wait to see what they do next!
So the bottom line is, if you think you are going to find a better place to stay on Pokegama you're wrong! These 3 places are cute with level lake shore, tons of things to do with great property owners. Next year we are renting all three cabins and the rest of our family from Colorado, Arizona and Florida are joining us.

WOW what a place!

Level Lakeshore is not something you think about until you are actually at the lake. My Mom who is 83 years old joined our family for summer vacation at this property and spent quite a bit of time sitting in her beach chair IN THE WATER! After touring the lake on a pontoon that we rented (from a vendor recommended by the owner) I had two big take aways;First, this lake literally has EVERYTHING....restaurants, beaches, islands, clear water, great recreation, great fishing, and hardly has any boat traffic. Second, I will never forget my Mom's comment as we toured the lake on the pontoon "I'm so glad we are staying at a place with level lakeshore.....if there were steps to the lake like so many of these places, I would not be able to enjoy the water." ........PRICELESS!!! We will be back for sure and highly recommend to anyone,

We have been vacationing in the Grand Rapids area for the past 20+ years. As our family has grown so has the need to accommodate a number of "desires" - everything from level lake shore, sandy beach, clean accommodations, to attractions that we can do at the lake without traveling by car. THIS IS THE PLACE!! The buildings are cute, very clean, and the location on Pokegama is absolutely wonderful. We boated over to the golf course several times for dinner anc cocktails. One night was with the kids at Zorbaz for beach volleyball and pizza. The owners are first class and want to make sure that your stay is memorable. We will definetely be coming back

Just Georgous!

Our family rented this home for our vacation and we couldn't be happier with our decision! There were 15 of us, 7 under 11 years old and we just had a wonderful time! The loft was perfect for the kiddos, they got their own little beds, and each couple had their own room. Very Clean! The 2 kitchen areas were rally nice, as well as the 2 full size refrigerators. We had amazing weather! Because of floods the "beach" plus some was covered with water, but that didn't stop us from having a great time! The owners are so great and truly wanted you to have a good stay, they care about you and your vacation (from experiences elsewhere it is hard to find good renters or management) and would defiantly book with them again! This was a great week for us family, and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation! Thanks again!!!

We had never stayed on Pokegama Lake although I grew up in Grand Rapids. The lake is wonderful with great fishing and scenery. Launching the boat near by and leaving it at the dock could not be more convenient. The cabin is roomy, the deck is huge, and the owners were very accomodating on short notice. The view from the cabin is spectacular--wide open with long water views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
