A 'Go Away' sign welcomes you to the Schneider property. We take our privacy seriously here!
CLASSIC ADOBE CONSTRUCTION: The home is constructed of stabilized adobe. Diablo is a state park with miles of hiking and mountain biking trails.)The adobe keeps the house cool in the summer using the natural properties of an evening costal influence and 18 doors to the outside, to say nothing of the number of windows bringing the cooler evening air inside! The three patios are paved with adobe and the gardens and fountains offer a quiet place to enjoy this spectacular setting. The house is decorated early California Spanish revival. There are horns, skins and an actual full size bear in the front room to amuse your guests.Terra Cotta tile covers the living area floors and there is wall to wall rug in the bedroom area. My husband and I are retired, except for keeping the property in mint condition. We like to travel and have a second home in Concord. Our daughters are not close by so we travel often to visit them. Both my husband and I grew up in the Concord/Walnut Creek area.
We designed and built the home on property owned since 1968. We raised our girls here and after they moved out of the area we began to travel more and leaving the beautiful house empty seems a waste. We enjoy sharing this special home with families who are celebrating, reuniting and looking for a warm retreat from the everyday.
The house is unlike any other. It is decorated in early California furnishings. Stays cool like a wine cellar, has 300 degree views from the Oakland Hills to Full View of Mt. Diablo. Amenities include sauna, pool table, hot tub with valley lights view, endless pool, several patios surround the house with fabulous landscaping. A marvel if I do say so myself!
