Wonderful House Located on Grounds of Incredible La Quinta Resort

This is a very nice house located on the grounds of a charming, historic resort. We visited in February with our three boys, all under the age of 10, and had a wonderful stay.
The resort is impressive. When you arrive at the main resort area, you feel that you are stepping back into a past where the pace of life slows. Not to say that the resort is outdated, it just has a relaxing, southwestern charm that reminds me of resorts near Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The grounds of the resort are beautiful, and just walking the paths between the different areas of the resort is enjoyable. There are a number of activities available, including numerous pools, restaurants, tennis, bike riding and golf. We stuck to tennis but I understand that the golf at the resort is world-class as well. There is some incredible number of pools at the resort, but we swam at the pool located just out the back door of the house, and also at the main pool where the kids could order a milk shake and fries after swimming. There are a 4-5 of restaurants on the grounds offering a range of cuisines (and prices!). We enjoyed the family-friendly Adobe Grill, which was excellent and in my opinion reasonably priced. I'd recommend checking out the La Quinta Resort home page for a good overview of the resort.
At our arrival, we picked up the keys and received an overview of the resort from the La Quinta staff. The staff was available when we had any questions about the house or resort, making our stay hassle free.
The house is very nice and perfect for a family vacation - I think that the description understates how nice the house is. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the great room is perfect for family meals and movies.
I'd highly recommend staying at this house and make sure to enjoy all that the resort has to offer!
