Located down a private drive, only minutes from the ocean and freshwater sand beach. Easy access to Acadia National park, shops and restaurants of Southwest Harbor only minutes away. Bar Harbor is an easy commute, by car or free island explorer shuttle.
Front of house boasts huge covered deck with seating for 8. Enjoy relaxing meals here, or a perfect place to catch up on your reading. Living room has pull out couch and comfy chairs to seat 6. Craftsman work throughout the house, including lots of built-ins, exposed granite chimney & woodstove, perfect for chilly fall evenings. The surrounding yard is full of lush trees, and offer shade and privacy on warm summer nights. Walk to Somes Sound (the ocean) before settling in for the night to the sounds of crickets and the breeze. (No traffic!)
Nature Lovers Paradise!: Eagles Nest is the perfect vacation home for a family or couple looking for the true Maine experience, while still being close to all the action! Hall Quarry is a quiet residential area, just 1 mile off route 102, which gives you easy access to all the Island has to offer while still being in a traffic free, secluded setting. Fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, biking, golf and more are within a few minutes drive in every direction. Catch the Free island explorer shuttle, just a short walk away. It takes you to the amenities of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, as well as most tourist destinations on the Island. The closest town is Southwest Harbor, only a 5 minute drive from the house. It has fine restaurants, shops, grocery store, specialty wine and cheeses, take-out establishments, lobster eateries, boat tours, drug store and much more.

Family Fun!: Freshwater Sand beach at Echo Lake is within walking distance, or a short drive by car. It offers a freshwater beach perfect for swimming, wading and sandcastle building in the summer sun.
Also, a bit further away, about 10 minutes by car is Long Pond. A favorite swimming and boating spot for locals, it also offers a great place for families to take a dip or rent kayaks and enjoy the lake from a slightly different perspective.
