Red Dirt Lodge is your private mountain getaway. Situated 15 minutes from Kremmling, CO, and just moments from Arapahoe National Forest, with incredible mountain views. Located in the middle of world class skiing and snowboarding resorts. Within an hour you can find yourself in Steamboat Springs, Breckenridge, Winter Park, Keystone and Copper Mountain. Red Dirt Lodge is a snowmobilers dream.

With the ability to ride from the lodge and access hundreds of miles of trails and open riding in Arapahoe National Forest, there is no end to fun that awaits you. The famous Rabbit Ears area is just a 30 minute snowmobile ride from the lodge. With vast parks and trees, it is ideal for snowmobilers.

Summer at Red Dirt Lodge is also your hub for a plethora of outdoor activities. Wolford Mountain reservoir is just 5 minutes away and open for water skiing, relaxing boating, and fishing. Boat rentals are available at the reservoir as well. World class whitewater rafting is available an hour away on the famous Colorado River. Several rafting guides are available in Kremmling.

Colorado is home to the largest elk population in the world, also making it a fantastic destination for hunters. Again, Red Dirt Lodge is situated next to thousands of acres of public land, ideal for the hunter.

Red Dirt Lodge is completely solar powered, making it a green alternative to motels and hotels.

About Audrey

My name is Doug Covington and I have lived in the Kremmling area for the last 17 years. I was drawn to this area for its outdoor lifestyle. I am an avid hunter, fisherman and snowboarder. Living in Kremmling has afforded me to enjoy all my activities close to home. I really like the small town, friendly attitude of Kremmling's residents. Kremmling has fantastic flyfishing opportunities close by. Gold medal waters include the Colorado, Blue and Williams Fork rivers. Wolford Reservoir is just 6 miles north of Kremmling and offers fantastic fishing, boating and camping on-site. I am very happily married to my wife, Audrey. We have 9 wonderful children and they too enjoy all of the outdoor opportunities that Kremmling offers. All of our children look forward to snowboarding at nearby Sol Vista Basin during the winter months and also enjoy ice fishing. My wife and I own a small retail business in Kremmling and enjoy serving the town.

Hunters and Bucket List Wives

This set-up worked out really well for two elk hunters and their wives. Close to public hunting lands for the men. Within driving distance of plenty of bucket list items for the wives. Satellite TV meant no one had to miss the game between hunts or hikes. Super nice owners--very easy to work with.

Relaxing vaction stay property.

This poperty is just secluded enough yet close enough to so many things to do. Hot Sulphur Springs approx 25 miles east of the lodge. Fishing and boating at Wolford Reservoir. Fishing at Red Dirt Reservoir. ATV riding out the driveway and USFS access about 6 miles up the road. The home is very comfortable. We loved our time here and will be back. This is a very affordable vacation spot.

This is a wonderful place to stay

We rented this cabin over the Christmas holiday - and had a very enjoyable time. The cabin is cozy and comfortable, a great wood burning stove kept the entire place warm and toasty. It is a very beautiful location, and I would recommand this place highly!
