Nice, quiet, roomy place - would definitely return!
I booked this place for my husband and I on a whim and it paid off! It's on a gorgeous street of walkups and the studio itself is roomy but cozy. It is old, but in good shape and beautiful. I was nervous when Dov mentioned he didn't "do contracts" for stays less than a month, but that proved to be no big deal. He honored the price listed, was flexible with our length of stay and was very attentive and friendly. The location is great and is within walking distance to some fabulous drop-in cafes and yummy, local restaurants as well as the center of Central Park and a subway station (with access to the main lines). Definitely for those who want more of a NYC residential experieince.
Two minor negatives - the staircase from the 2nd the 3rd floor is as crazy-crooked as others have mentioned (although certificates from recent building inspections eased our nerves a bit). Also, the tub/shower could use an extra curtain as you don't get complete coverage from the existing one - it was drafty and water splashed on the floor quite a bit.
TIP - a block west and a few blocks south there is a little market - grab some tissues, hand soap and some extra toilet paper. We didn't expect the room to be stocked like a hotel, but those basic ammenities were missing.
