The 10 foot ceilings and clerestory windows throughout the home are designed to capture the stunning mountain vistas from every room.

About Daria

We purchased our home in the La Quinta Cove in 2007 and have been enjoying it as a second home. Our primary residence is in Napa and busy work schedules have made it more difficult for us to get to the Desert. Thus, we decided to share our home with others through VRBO.com. We hope guests will find the warmth, solace and comfort that we appreciate when we visit our Desert home.

Why Daria chose La Quinta

The desert has always been a great love of ours. We enjoy playing tennis and swimming and being outdoors whenever possible. It's a perfect getaway from the wet and dreary winters up north. We never get tired of looking at the mountains and seeing the sunshine everyday.

What makes this house unique

Our home sits on a corner lot high in the Cove with great mountain vista's all around us. We are close to many restaurants and entertainment activities but still feel that we are far enough away that we get the quiet we love when staying in the desert.

Casa Zen

We are almost through our month stay at Casa Zen. We have loved every moment of our time here.
Casa Zen is a welcoming, tasteful, private and very comfortable living space. The flow of the house is complimented by the absolutely gorgeous artwork, furniture and furnishing. We had everything we need and more. The time has been extra, extra special as we could have our two little dogs with us.

Access to the foothill walkway and hiking trails into the Santa Rosa/San Jacinto Mountains is just a few steps away. We took hikes every morning and evening . The walkway and the trails offer lots of options in terms of distance, our experiences ranged from a one mile walk on the walkway , to a four hour hike into the mountains. The only wild life we have encountered thus far are local song birds, lots of road runners and a solitary rabbit. We have explored the neighborhood , enjoying the home designs and landscapes. Next time we come to the Top of the Cove we will definitely bring our bikes. Lots of trail opportunities for fat tire riding on the desert and mountain trails, to road/race biking on designated paved bike lanes.

Old Town La Quinta is a quaint local gathering space, hosting a Farmers Market On Sunday mornings , unique restaurants, and the best coffee shop. Last weekend we enjoyed a unique Art Fair and music in the park.

Daria and Stacy have been great! The house tour and information book provided all the necessary tools to make our time at Casa Zen and La Quinta relaxing and fun . This has definitely been a great get away and we recommend Casa Zen as an\exceptional experience for any travelers to the Top of the Cove, La Quinta.
