On the north end of beautiful Longboat Key is the original settlement of the island known as Longbeach Village. Fondly referred as “The Village” the locals and winter snowbirds here enjoy a quiet, small community that sports many styles of architecture from both Old and New Florida.

Our Old Florida Ranch style home has been renovated over the past 3 years. It has three bedrooms. two full baths, an upper living room with a fireplace and computer facilities and a lanai room with a built in fish pond and a screened porch.

This house is well designed for visitors as it has a master suite and the two bedroom wing with the adjoining bath. It could also well suit two couples who would want to share a space to keep costs down.

There is an adjoining garage with laundry facilities. The yard is fenced and we accept pets.

The property is 2 blocks from the Sarasota Bay and 3 blocks from the Gulf of Mexico. Visitors here ride bicycles and walk to get everywhere. Longboat Key and Anna Marie Island instigated a free trolley that runs the length of both islands and affords easy transportation to grocery stores, St. Armand’s Circle, the library and other points of interest if you don’t want to drive.

This property has a ½ acre of land and has two guest cottages in behind the main house. These cottages are also rented seperately for the season.

The house is 2 blocks from the Sarasota Bay and 3 blocks from the Gulf of Mexico. Visitors here ride bicycles and walk to get everywhere. There is a local plaza with a deli, a restaurant, a beauty salon, a bar and a liquor store 2 blocks from the house. About The Owner

We discovered Longbeach Village many years ago and decided to buy there as it was a lovely, quaint old Florida small community that really values its neighbors and being a neighborhood. We have "Dog Thirty" every day at 5:30 on the Art Centre Back lot, where all dog owners gather for of leash dog play and a catch up on the latest in the Village. We have a Village Association that has great parties once a month and also spearheads a group voice for those of us living in the village. My husband and I both work in the Film Business.

Why The Owner chose Longboat Key

Longboat Key is one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida. You will be in the Old Florida oasis of Historic Longbeach Village located on the North end of exclusive Longboat Key. Our property is 5 minutes walk to either the beach on the Gulf of Mexico or Sarasota Bay. Our beach has been written up as one of the 10 top beaches in Florida. Longboat Key is within minutes of downtown Sarasota. Sarasota is a cultural centre with it's own Ballet, the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, the Ringling School of Fine Art and it's own Film Festival. There is lots of music to enjoy, many award winning restaurants and hours of great shopping. Longboat is just south of Tampa which features Busch Gardens and Adventure Island Water Park. Only two hours away is the "Magic Kingdom" of Disney World, Epcot Centre, Universal Studios and many Orlando attractions. Rental of our home includes cable TV, DVD player and local telephone.

The house is very reasonably priced, is very dog friendly and has plenty of room. This was our first stay in the village, and for us, nowhere else will do. Very dog friendly, plenty of walking areas and lots of friendly people. Ate at Moore's once and MarVista several times. Very good food within walking distance. Also got my Pizza's at the Bayou Tavern in Whitney plaza. The bus stop is at the end of Broadway and can take you anywhere in Bradenton or Sarasota.
Can't wait until next year.
