Wedding weekend

We had rented this house during the weekend we had gotten married in Hood River. It is a beautiful property and house. It was clean and in great shape when we arrived. There is a nice yard area in front where you can relax and bbq with your friends or family. The house is very modern and nice. The only down side was the owner said that there would be two sets of keys on the island when we got there and there was none. We had to call him to drop off a set and he only gave us one set. It was also very had to find this house. The road to get to this house is long dirt rocky road with some potholes so good very slowly. The road wasn't marked well for the turn off. Other than that we had a fabulous time and it fit our needs!

We had a girl's reunion weekend here and the house could not have been more perfect! Beautiful attention to detail, great amenities with everything in top shape. Close proximity to Hood River and White Salmon make it ideal for a getaway weekend. We will be back for sure!

A beautiful home with all of the touches you would not expect at a rental house, we spent a long weekend and never wanted to leave. The home had everything you could want... it was raining and we watched a movie from their collection on a HUGE flat screen, then as it cleared up we hiked down to the waterfall - awesome!! The books, the art and the decor just suited the house perfectly. The VIEW, what can I say - amazing!
I have stayed at some amazing hotels - but staying at a house like this was a even better.. You can have your bikes outside and go on an great hike or ride right out the door!
We will be back!!

Hood River Vacation

Spent a few days here late September 2010. Accomodation was top class. Loved the architectural style and execution thereof. Finishing touches were exquisite. Really liked the wood and steel structural features. Loved the 'open' feel. Views from the main room down to the Columbia River were amazing.
The waterfall at the end of the little trail was a unique feature. Back east (NY) this would gain state park status. Great place to chill.
We spent a couple of days mountain biking right out from the back door and up the mountain. Great trails.
The local brewery served up some great beer and good live music.

Our short stay at this unique mountain house was extraordinary. The house is beautifully designed, with a perfect flow for a family -- lots of space, but everything easily accessible. The appointments are first class, with interesting art and artifacts, well-chosen books and games and a delightful mix of original mid-century and modern furniture. We'll never forget sitting at the huge windows, gazing at the magnificent view. Well worth crossing the country for!
