The house is located on the 'Third Row' of Sandbridge. It is a short walk to the beach. Sandbridge has a white sandy beach and fun surf. It is not too rough, but has ample waves for boogie boarding and surfing fun. Pitch your umbrella and enjoy the day.
Cathedral ceilings and large windows provide an open, outdoorsy feel. Rough cut cedar walls and pine floors throughout. Living area opens up to a screened breezeway. The breezeway has wonderful sea breezes and shady areas throughout the day. Plenty of deck furniture makes it a wonderful place to gather. Master Bedroom/Bath (QB) is off the main living area. Bedroom 2 (QB) and Bedroom 3(tw/dbl bunk) and 2nd bath are separated from the main part of the house by the breezeway. There is also an ocean side sun deck with a table and chairs and umbrella. It is a great place to sunbathe, and is shady and cool in the evenings.
Situated on a large sandy lot surrounded by sea grasses, bayberry and wax myrtle, the property has a secluded, beachy atmosphere. Enjoy bird watching and gorgeous sunsets over Back Bay.

We bought our house in Sandbridge from friends. We had visited many times and liked the open floor plan with the screened breezeway and high ceilings. We call it 'the house of porches' because it has so many places to enjoy sitting 'outside'. We like the fact that we can enjoy the ocean and bay without leaving the house. The short walk to the white sandy beach beach is another reason we chose the house. This photo was taken of us at the house in 1981, when we were newlyweds.
The house is just a short walk to the wide sandy beach. A beautiful white sand beach, surf, and summer water temperatures in the mid to high 70's give Sandbridge every amenity that makes US mid-Atlantic beaches so enjoyable. It has nice surf without being too rough. The waves are big enough for a fun day of boogie boarding and surfing. If a playground for smaller children is desired, Little Island Park is a mile or so down the road. It has a public guarded beach, picnic areas, a bath house, and playground equipment. If a nature walk is your preference, Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge is just a little further down the road from Little Island.
