My husband and I stayed at the Green Door for a week in April. We travel a lot, and I have to say this was one of my favorite rentals ever. The central location is great for getting around Austin. The reservation process and communications regarding the rental were excellent. The townhouse is very well decorated, spotlessly clean, uncluttered, and very comfortable. It has all the amenities you would want: comfortable beds, nice linens and towels, a well appointed kitchen, an outdoor grill, a nice deck to relax on at the end of the day. The photos and description online are spot on.
The attention to detail by the owners is evident and makes the ambience of this place special. We arrived late at night, and Dani had left lights on for us, with the internet radio playing soft music...a very warm welcome. It was a pleasure to stay here. Kudos to Dani and Joel.

Fantastic Apartment Close to South Congress

I had the pleasure of staying at the yellow door the weekend of Feb 16 and I can not say enough about the comfort, cleanliness and location. The owners were also a pleasure to deal with and made the check in - check out process seamless and easy. I am a very picky traveler when it comes to hotels etc, and the yellow door was more than satisfying. I can assure anyone that they will be comfortable and happy staying at this location. It is a short walk to south congress with all of the unique bars, shops, restaurants, food trucks etc. You really don't even need a car unless you want to explore beyond the city limits.
Recommended for:
Tourists without a Car,
Sightseeing,
Romantic Getaway

Great SoCo Rental

I recently stayed at the Green Door for 4 nights over my wedding weekend and it could not have been better. The house is immaculate and adorable. We had four guests (two couples) in the house and thought it was plenty spacious. The location is ideal - we enjoyed the half mile walk to and from South Congress for dinner and drinks. There are also two bikes included with the property. We looooovvvveeeed the patio space. It is a perfect place to enjoy a Shiner Bock or two on a nice night.
The owners could not have been easier to work with. The email communication was quick and easy and the instructions we received for checking in were so easy.
Have more than 4 guests? It is also part of a quad of 4 houses (blue door, etc.) which would be so fun! I would definitely stay here again.

So much better than a hotel!

Our recent visit to Austin brought us into the SoCo area and we stayed at a perfect single home for rent. Such a lucky find! It was clean as a whistle with all the amenities of home. I stayed with my three daughters and grandchild. I slept in the living room - very comfortable! My girls shared the two bedrooms. The bathroom has an awesome shower. The toilet needed a little repair work done and upon letting the owner know, he took care of it immediately. The decor is really cool with lots of light. Very airy and comfortable. There's a patio area, a grill, plenty of space. It's nice sitting outside in the morning or evening. Interesting neighborhood with all kinds of interesting architecture and gardens. Nice to use the bikes and ride around. Would definitely recommend this rental! Only regret we couldn't stay longer.

Wonderful stay

We stayed for a week at the Blue Door. It was as advertised and exceeded our expectations. Very comfortable modern furnishings with a great outdoor BBQ area and deck. The whole place was clean and seemed brand new. The kitchen has everything you need and again seemed brand new. The decor is IKEA meets Austin Powers... very groovy baby. The neighbour is upscale and peaceful. Its within walking distance to the action as well as beautiful parks and walking trails. We loved it and will stay here again when visiting Austin. Be sure to check out the food trucks, great shopping and restuarants on South Congress.

The Green Door of Socospaces was exactly as advertised. The home is spotless, quiet, uncluttered, fully equipped. The owners are responsive, helpful and friendly. It was excellent value for the price. The home is in a sweet neighborhood with old oak trees and walking paths, but also very close to stores and markets and Austin's best music venue, the Continental Club. Austin is a user friendly city, and Socospaces made our stay feel personal and special. We would highly recommend the property.

Great Rental Property

We stayed in the Yellow Door and found the property to fit our needs. Nestled in a quiet sub yet close to the SoCo area yet is close to Hwy 35 and Congress. The property was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. We appreciated the IKEA style throughout and the eco friendly features in the home. The door locks were convenient and clever. We didn't have enough time to take advantage of the bicycles but wanted to.
Recommendations: Take time to utilize the many resources the owners have provided. The hyperlinks were wonderful and it would be helpful to read the Welcome binder on arrival. We carried a bunch of stuff in and didn't notice it until the late in the evening. We had already gone out for barbecue but may have done it differently after reading their helpful information.
If you are a Coffee Drinker: I noticed that the pictures showed a French Press so I brought mine as well. With two couples one would not have been provided the morning jolt we are used to. I also brought a thermos to keep it hot as there is not a microwave.
