This is a wonderful place to stay. It is very comfortable home furnished as a cottage get-away with everything you need to have for your vacation . We particularly enjoyed early mornings with coffee and a book on the screened porch! The town is very charming - history and architecture alone make the visit worthwhile. Take the owners advice and visit Carriers for lobster - we laughed with our flatlander guests as we learned to dismantle a lobster and rewarded ourselves with ice cream.

This house has all the character of an older home but has been beautifully updated and feels like a new home. The house was spotless on our arrival. Castine is a neat town and is close to area attractions if you want to explore. Be sure and eat at Bah's Bakehouse in Castine. Great food and very reasonable prices! Owners of the home are great to work with and the rental is very reasonably priced.

Roomy cottage

We stayed at this lovely cottage in June 2010. It is much more than a cottage as a large family would have plenty of room to spread out. The rooms were spotless and had lots of storage. Everything was new from the furniture and electronic equipment to the kitchen pots. We walked to the harbor in the evenings and had our coffee on the front porch in the mornings. The golf course is right around the corner and the Martitime Academy is very nearby. It was an enjoyable peaceful getaway. The owners were thoughful and wonderful to deal with. I highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning next June.
