What a fabulous journey

Our family, 22 of us ranging in age from 92 to 4, spent 8 nights at the Mansion. "Incredible" was the word of the week as was "unbelievable". The pictures are 100% accurate. The home is beautiful, the view breathtaking. While we really didn't have any issues (we just couldn't figure out a couple of things), Earl/Mark were very responsive. We had two people with wheel chairs and they had no problems getting around the main level of the home. We went the week that kids in TN were back in school so Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge were basically empty so we had no wait for any attractions (zip line, white water rafting, Dollywood, etc.) It probably helped that every day we had perfect weather. Our family is firm believers in trying a new place every time we go somewhere but I have to admit, I don't think any of us would be opposed to going back. In fact, I've started looking for our next destination, and so far have not had any success in toping what we had here. The porch sits watching sunrises, family dinners, theme nights are memories we will never forget. There is so much room that even with 22 of us, we never felt crowded. We even had a surprise wedding the Friday before we left - what a beautiful setting that was! The living room was transformed into a dance/reception area and wow - what a night! If you are looking for family bonding, something for every age group to do/enjoy - this is absolutely the place! The bears, wow, I can't even tell you how many we saw, with no issues at all. They don't want to harm anyone - just be smart and don't try to pet them (smile). Watching them was really a neat experience for all ages. We never once felt in danger. The Smokies - they are unlike other mountains we've seen - one morning, the appearance changed 6 times within a 1/2 hour. I wish there was more room to write further details. I hope this helps anyone who is considering. Should anyone wish to have more information on what we experienced, I would gladly allow Earl to share our phone number with you.
