Our lakefront camp truly has it all. Located at the end of a quiet street that meanders down to the water. You park in your own small lot, get out and start saying wow. You are now looking across Northwest Bay to Tongue Mountain. Our camp has all the amenities that Lake George offers but with less boat traffic than the main part of the lake. Bolton Landing is a 5 minute drive for groceries, restaurants and wonderful shopping. Walk out onto the dock or climb the spiral staircase to the boathouse roof for an even better view. REMEMBER! One uncovered dock space for a 24 foot boat and one jet ski! NEW FOR 2011 WIFI Digital Cable and Free HBO !!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!!
Both relaxation and family fun.: Got kids? You can't lose. You've got a sandy bottomed swimming area with easy steps right into the lake. You've got dock space for one 24 foot boat or a canoe or anything you bring along or rent. Got 2 small families? Let a couple adults take the kids to Great Escape for the day and stay at the house on the deck and relax to your hearts content. Take a sail, go paragliding. Rent a canoe or kayak, ( 5 minutes away ) Things to do are endless. And if you enjoy doing nothing, you're still in the right place. Dock space for an additional large boat could be available for an additional fee.
But there is more: Like history? There is Fort William Henry down in Lake George Village. (20 minutes) When the kids get bored with old Henry take them down the street a ways to 2 terrific miniature golf courses. Then pick up a pizza on the way back to the house (2 miles from house), then munch away while the kids jump in the lake. Supper later? Get dressed (casually of course) and go into Bolton Landing to the Algonquin (somewhat pricey but real good) then stop at Ben & Gerry's on the way home for dessert. Next morning? Take the day off. You deserve it. Maybe take a ride up to Fort Ticonderoga for some more history.
Want more?: There is golf at the famous Sagamore Course ( 8 minutes ), Hudson River white water rafting or tubing (1/2 hr.),
Fly fishing in the very picturesque Schroon river. Sailing, canoeing, kayaking, jet-skiing on the lake. Take your boat over to Log Bay and anchor up and play some volleyball right in the water (sandy bottom). I could go on and on, so I won't. Well maybe just a little. Montreal is only 2 hours away. The glorious walled city of old Quebec (oldest city in North America) is only 5 hours away.
